Tigers (4-1) defeat Ramapo (4-2), 87-78.  Tigers remain undefeated at 4-0 in DIII play, the only loss on their record to DI High Point University.  Turner King moves into 7th place in career points, scoring 27 points and getting 9 rebounds.  Jonathan Mudd also had a great game and was named Player of the Game by the WFLO broadcasters, Watson & Yates.  The Tigers will play again tomorrow at 4pm against the winner of today's Methodist/Salisbury game.

The Marlins lead the Quakers, 65-63, with 1:39 to play at the beach.

Final:  R-MC overwhelms E & H 85-60.

David Carlson (DC) had 22 points; Brandon Braxton had 18.

Yellow Jackets are DEEP.

GO JACKETS!!  Hoping everyone around the ODAC gets home safely!!

Virginia Wesleyan wins, 71-68.  Simmons has 20 and Fields scores 19.

The Marlins improve to 7-1 .... with an ODAC record of 1-1.

Looks like it's going to be a tough season of competition, with EXTREMELY impressive starts by Eastern Mennonite (8-0), Randolph-Macon (6-0), Virginia Wesleyan (7-1), Hampden-Sydney (4-1), and Guilford (4-1) ....... and very solid starts by Randolph (6-1) and Washington and Lee (6-2).  Bridgewater and Roanoke are probably also capable of defeating anyone on any given night.

HSC's Career Points Leaders:

2272 - Russ Turner, '92
1965 - Bill Hardin, '63
1861 - Leon Hawker, '60
1780 - Ralph Baker, '89
1740 - T. J. Grimes, '00
1630 - Nate Schwab, '96
1465 - Turner King, '10

If he stays healthy, Turner will probably end up ahead of Schwab, Grimes, Baker, and maybe Hawker, finishing at 3rd or 4th on the HSC all-time scoring list.

What I thought would be a re-building year, has started out well. Keep it up Gennies. Very nice to have Andrew Payne back.
If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

Randolph leads Bridgewater, 62-60.  Bridgewater has the ball, with 11 seconds to play.  Then Billups misses a jumper, with 7 seconds to play.  RUTSCHMAN gets the rebound and is immediately fouled.  He misses the first but gets the second, so Randolph leads 63-60, with Bridgewater having possession with 6 seconds to play.  Bridgewater takes a timeout and TRAWICK then misses the 3.  63-60 Randolph WIN.

Just saw today's scores.  Congratulations to VWC.  With that said, however, I really dislike losing to the Marlins.   :-\

Congratulations to  VWC and Guilford for a really exciting game.  It could have gone either way right down to the last second.  For a really young team the Marlins have shown remarkable progress and it looks like they will be a force to be reckoned with in the not too distant future.  Coach Macedo and his staff are to be commended.  The Odac has many teams this year that will surprise.  They have become a conference of teams that come ready to compete at any level.  I look forward to a really interesting season.  That being said, I really love winning against Guilford..lol

About 7 minutes to go for HSC - now 54-47 after a 14-0 run by HSC - trying hard - great defense and shots have started to fall
