RMC with a quality win over College of Wooster tonight, 72-65.

Also Maryville (TN) over Averett in Danville, 87-71.  The 8-1 Scots visit 5-1 Guilford Wednesday night - should be a good one!.

Quakers need not fret over the impending visit of a team from that little weak GSAC.

Unless it is Maryville!  (Excuse me, 'Murvul' ;D)

I can't recall the last year they weren't a Pool B rep.

There's a wealth of information in this link on basketball doubles.  To date, the only known quintuple-double of 10 or more points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks was recorded by Tamika Catchings for Duncanville, TX high school in 1997 (25, 18, 11, 10, 10).  Wow!  Now that's a stat line!

Thanks for the extra information, Ralph ... looks as though she played some hoops with Dad in the driveway while growing up.  Did Tamika play college ball?

Hasa,  :o you're joking right with your question about Tamika...she only played for Pat Summit at Tennessee and is now in the WNBA.  All American in college and Rookie of the Year her first playing year in the WNBA and a five time all-star.  See more...

Hasa-This is one we could just have easily lost if the Scots hit a few more 3's-they just didn't shoot well.I'm certainly not taking anything away from our guys-Nathan runs kids in and out and finds the right combination to win(and it never seems like the same one every night which is great)but this Wooster team is GOOD...but they seem to live and die by the trey...I think they'll definitely be playing in the postseason!.Hope we will be,too..Go Jackets!

Come on all you RMC doubters... this team is strong!  One of their main problems last night was turnovers, and they still beat a very well-coached and talented group of ball players by 7.  Wooster led only once during the game & only by a point or 2.  Wooster is definitely the toughest defense we've seen take on the Jackets this season and their record does not reflect their talent.

The Jackets are as fired up as we've ever seen them and playing well together as a group of, effectively, 9-10 starters.   Way to go, Coach Davis, we love the teamwork we're seeing.

The officiating was really poor, but went against both teams almost equally - Danny Jones was the only Jacket to foul out but Wooster lost 2 men in the closing minutes.

Jackets get a well-deserved rest until 29th - Merry Christmas & GO JACKETS!!!

Well, count me as one of the doubters.  I saw the game last night and if not for the refs this game could have gone the other way.  I see a lot of talent on this team, but I also saw a lazy, undisciplined team on offense.  Only towards the end did the offense effectively work the ball to #54.  Yes, they'll be good, but they're not a top 10 team at the moment.

Yeah, while the officiating was questionable, good win RMC.  The Scots played well and was happy with the overall game.  We may see one another later on.......

Agreed, the Scots played well and often made the RMC's offense look lethargic at times.  They're a strong squad and I expect them to do well this season.  BTW, loved the bagpipes.

I'm certainly familiar with Pat Summit and Tennessee's success.  After you reminded me, I could only slap my forehead and go "duh!"  Of course, I've heard of Tamika - I just didn't make the immediate connection.  Thanks for the information and link!

Thanks - looking forward to an interesting ODAC season.  Hopefully, the ODAC will have two or more NCAA teams this season - and I hope Guilford and RMC are included!

RMC #5--Guilford #6---VWC #21 New poll just posted.

BTW: Wooster still at 25 with 3 losses (not counting last night).
