Ok-.....R-MC makes the Richmond paper this morning.......will it be the kiss of death?

...and even more surprising, it was on the front page of the sports section!

Nice piece - Coach Davis seems like a smart guy. It would be a sad day in Greater Richmond if you couldn't get ink for the  #1 team in D-3. Maybe it is the k.o.d.. Then again maybe they'll be inspired by having the cross hairs on them. I don't believe I've ever seen them play a low energy game. I  hope they keep it up - except, with my usual admonition, against the Generals.

Wow-Didn't know that....I saw it on the online edition...at least the students at H-SC aren't back in school yet...A big break for us......wonder how the H-SC  AD let that happen?....or does he even have any control over it?

Yes, thank you Times Dispatch for finally recognizing R-MC at 11-0.  But, they were scooped as we were gratified to see local Richmond CBS affiliate Ch. 6 ended their 6 pm edition last night with the #1 news and congratulations all around.  There's not a lot of difference in talent between #1 and #25 and we're just happy to see our guys in the poll another week.

We think our players and coaches must have ice water in their veins... if they can come back against that Williams team like they did - they're not easy to rattle.

As always, may the best men win tonight and best of luck to all the ODAC teams who are in action this week!

GO JACKETS!!!!

rmc1982... actually we may be the only team with students on campus this week due to the J-term schedule that we have.

Ours would also be a smaller crowd than usual if tonight's game were here, but I think we're really going to bring people out for that last game of the season.

Sorry to see RMC as #1 at this point in the season.  It's nothing more than a big target on their back and a huge motivational gift for the upcoming Tigers!

Glad to see the Jackets doing well, but I hope they keep level heads and approach each game as if they are the underdogs!

Agreed.  I'm just trying to enjoy the team being # 1 for the moment.  But as I stated earlier this year, I'm more interested in where we'll be at the end of the ODAC tournament.

Will be in attendance tonight at Hampden-Sydney.  I hope to see a lot of people I know there.

Guilford was leading LC, 36-26, at the half in Lynchburg.

83-48 EMU beats W&L.  Not sure I ever saw a box score where a team scored 83 and only had two in double figures.  Hinson was on fire.  HINSON, D.J.     12-15     7-9     3-4     5     0     1     34

Jackets survive-69-68.  HSC played a very good game. Hats off to them.

^ yes, kudos to them for taking it to the Jackets all night.  They gave us a worse scare than we gave them on the football field in November.  Still, the Jackets pull it off after being down by 16.  Way to go, Jackets!

Heartbreaker for H-SC as RMC lead for only 4 seconds of 2nd half - happened to the correct 4 seconds - Second H-SC loss this year  by a three pointer at the buzzer this year to lose both by 1.  Very bright spot that players of game for H-SC were two freshman (three started tonight with O'Neill hurt).  RMC charged hard to make up the needed 17 points to win -shows definite Div III #1 status - very good ODAC game

My congratulations to RMC (and HSC) also - well-played, gentlemen.

Other ODAC scores tonight:

VWC 62, RaC 48

GC 89, LC 82.  Coach Palombo was not happy with defensive lapses.  The Hornets cut 19 points off a second-half 71-46 deficit before settling on the final 7-point margin.  Echols for LC was held scoreless for 27 minutes and then heated up with 16!  Another stellar 27/19 game for GC's Sanborn.  Bonner 22, Henson 16 and Stephenson 10 all in double figures for the Quakers.

EMU 83, W&L 48.  Hinson with 34!

RoC 91, E&H 85

The Eagles were idle, so BC's Head Coach was scouting the GC/LC game.
