Are you kiddin' me?  Are you kiddin' me?  Jackets lose to the Generals for the first time in 50 years in Ashland.  Put a fork in this team, they're done.  No leadership, no go-to guy.  Guilford by 25 on Saturday!

Is it just me, or has anyone realized how poorly the Jackets have played without DC?

I love this brief excerpt from the R-MC press release about last night's game: "the Generals secured its first win in Crenshaw Gym since 1959 ".

Never mind that Crenshaw Gym didn't exist in 1959. The gym to which Crenshaw is attached, and where the Jackets played until the 1964-65 season, was known as Alumni Gym -- at least that's what I recall. Someone with a better knowledge of the history please correct me if today's Alumni Gym was called Crenshaw Gym before the current Crenshaw Gym was built.

Hopefully DC is rooting for his former teammates, but I bet it's crossed his mind.   :-\

Exodancer.  Emu would never trade a win over rmc #1team in the nation at the time for a win at bc. Maybe u and bc care about the crosstown rival but emu is focused on bigger goals. They want to win the league and get a high seed in the tournament. Their season isn't made or broken by any game with bc.
Sanborn first pick
Second pick could go to any of these guys. Phillips Johnson Henson Hinson Echols Fields
Pick 3 a number of people Trawick a part of this group and probably a part of the second group. But hands down #2 no way. There is to much talent in this league. Any of these players can go for 30+ and a win on any night.

Same score with only 16 seconds left to go......WOW I never expected RMC to lose to Washington and Lee

1-23 3pt fga for the Jackets was killer.

WAY TO GO GENERALS!!!!

Congrats to the Gennies; well done.  If you can't hit three pointers at home, then you don't deserve to win.

You are correct, it was Alumni Gym.  You really don't expect the current generation to be that astute with history, do you?

Well, I guess that was my expectation given that I noticed the mistake, but maybe it's not fair of me to expect that.

ODACHOOPS

Is Henson a good player? Yes.  Can he create shots for himself? Yes.  Is he anywhere near as good of an athlete, as good of a ball handler, and as explosive to the rim as Trawick? No.  Henson is 6'0/6'1 and a descent athlete, but he can't at anytime rise up over contested larger guards and hit shot after shot.  Henson is great at coming off ball screens, and has gotten better over the years at being able to create shots on his own, but he is clearly at his best when he is coming off screens, dribble hand-offs etc as appose to just going one-on-one and pulling it with hands in his face like Trawick can.  Trawick's ball handling and explosiveness combined with his ability to rise up and shoot the ball at anytime is what separates him from all other guards in the ODAC

As for Phillips...I clearly said he was as good of if not a better athlete as Trawick. I give him the nod in that category.  As far as his field goal %, well yah it should be higher than Trawick's because he shouldn't be taking near the amount of shots that Dom is taking.  If you're "drafting a fantasy ODAC team" and you don't select Trawick #2 then you're crazy!

78rmc, What the game last night shows is that this junior class has no go to guy. Not only that this junior class has no one that can be the go to guy.
As for DC forget about that! Good bye, gone, donewith, over! He is not worth the trouble!
Once  had a very good high school coach tell me that" it is easy for me  to push these players because they already wanted to be better then what I  want them to be."That does not appear to be the case at R-MC !
Maybe the weather man is doing me a favor this weekend, as now I do not have to make that long ride home wishing I would have stayed home and watched the women play at CNU ! They play like they are having fun, not like it causes them pain!

Does the first regional poll come out next week?

Haha, that's funny.  Take a breath.  I'd be happy to think so, but I don't believe it for a minute.

The Jackets aren't done  They are in the middle of a great season, in what might have been a building year.  I'm very impressed!  I'll be amazed if Guilford cruises on Saturday.  Guilford's gonna have to hustle big time.

Even if RMC loses some games due to lack of a go-to guy, every game they'll be a danger to win.  Step back and enjoy it.  No fork.  Not toast.

Stillfamily--- haha you got to be kidding me this rivalry means way more to EMU when was EMU ever a contender for the ODAC title this is the best year in school history for them.  Bridgewater has won a couple of ODAC titles and been in the running it has been several years since Ricky Easterling and that group finished second but EMU has never been in the running for anything.  I know several EMU alumni that only talk about beating Bridgewater.  They had a great turnout at the game this past Saturday for a reason.  Where else do EMU fans travel too seriously.  HAHA what a joke.

If their is one thing Dom hurts his team with its turnovers thats his downfall.  I think that is probably also killing his efficiency rating.  At least im not alone in saying Dom is the #2 guy in the ODAC. Thanks ODACHOOPS and others

My goodness I must have fallen asleep. All-ODAC teams already picked. I hate it when I sleep that long!
