Stillfamily--- haha you got to be kidding me this rivalry means way more to EMU when was EMU ever a contender for the ODAC title this is the best year in school history for them.  Bridgewater has won a couple of ODAC titles and been in the running it has been several years since Ricky Easterling and that group finished second but EMU has never been in the running for anything.  I know several EMU alumni that only talk about beating Bridgewater.  They had a great turnout at the game this past Saturday for a reason.  Where else do EMU fans travel too seriously.  HAHA what a joke.

If their is one thing Dom hurts his team with its turnovers thats his downfall.  I think that is probably also killing his efficiency rating.  At least im not alone in saying Dom is the #2 guy in the ODAC. Thanks ODACHOOPS and others
How's life after graduation Kris Cecil, also known as former Bridgewater player who lost to EMU three times in his career, a team that has "never been in the running for anything"?

Steven Echols averages 0.4 more turnovers per game than Trawick does, yet he is still 2.39 points higher in efficiency rating than Trawick. Fields averages 0.2 more turnovers per game than Trawick does, but his efficiency rating is 0.24 points higher than Trawick.

Efficiency rating without TOs
29.11 - Tyler Sanborn
24.00 - Steven Echols
22.75 - Todd Phillips
22.11 - Donald Vaughn
21.68 - Stephen Fields (up 1 spot)
21.19 - Dominic Trawick (up 1 spot)
20.39 - Harrison George (down 2 pots)

Take out the turnovers in the equation, Trawick goes from 7th to 6th. Now what is your excuse for his efficiency rating not being the best or 2nd best?

Once  had a very good high school coach tell me that" it is easy for me  to push these players because they already wanted to be better then what I  want them to be."That does not appear to be the case at R-MC !
Maybe the weather man is doing me a favor this weekend, as now I do not have to make that long ride home wishing I would have stayed home and watched the women play at CNU ! They play like they are having fun, not like it causes them pain!

Is that what you see when you watch the R-MC men play -- a team that is having no fun? This is an honest question from someone who has not seen them play this season. Which leads me to wonder why it costs $7.99 to watch on the internet. I can watch Wash U, and lots of other schools, for free.

y_jack_lok , that is what I see. It appears they get no enjoyment and therefore seem to play with no passion.
Also as I have been saying all year they have been over- ranked.

Jeremybozz

EMU leading So. Virginia 45-26 with 2 minutes left until the half. Looks like this season series will be tied at 1-1.

The Rock   I love it!!!! Those stats you showed pretty much make my arguement for me. I remember Kris Cecil. I know first hand EMU doesn't mark the date for BC anymore. The former players you say you know probably didn't play for Kirby. It is a rivalry game and of course will get local attention.   Kirby Dean never has, and never will mark that date as the biggest game. Not to mention trade a win vs. RMC for a W at BC.  Don't you think that would be setting very low expectations.
BC has 1 Championship since 1977. That is 1 more than EMU!!!!! But EMU has the chance to tie that in one season.  EMU lost in the Championship Game in 1983. BC has made two Championship appearances since 1977. Winning 1 64-63 in 1988, and losing in 1996.

Bottom line is I like Trawick and his game. I think he is a great player, but I would take Phillips over Trawick every day of the week. I would also take Fields and Echols over Trawick. That's just me.

So the next question would be - Why? And I agree with the over-ranked part, even not having seen them play. But the ranking thing always sorts itself out over time.

Reporter Randy King's story in The Roanoke Times on the Jan. 27 Guilford at Roanoke game:

Have no idea why. I also can say if you watch them, they have some, what could be really nice players  but.....

donho

Come on Nova, I don't want to read that garbage.  :)

donho

WoW ! Coach Moir said some really nice things about you guys.

I saw this year's juniors play when they were freshmen. They were getting lots of minutes even then. From the two games I saw I always expected Jordan Brown would turn out to be the "go to" guy. Too bad that hasn't worked out. Haven't been able to get back east since.

Looks like EMU will avenge the earlier loss to SVU. EMU up  84-59. 4mins left

donho

You are correct about J. Brown, he should be contributing a double  double almost every night. He will do some nice things and then go unnoticed for the next five minutes.

EMU wins over Southern Va.    89-68. EMU was up by as many as 27 a few different times.
Here are some Efficiency Ratings

Todd Phillips  27 Efficiency rating         21pts. 11 rebs.
Eli Crawford 21 Efficiency rating          14pts 10 rebs
George Johnson 18 Efficiency rating   16pts 4 asst. 3 rebs.
