Fabulous!   .... Either Guilford or EMU will play in the Final Four, marking the 4th time in 5 years that the ODAC has been represented.  That's probably the most times over the past 5 years of any conference in the country.

On top of that, Randolph-Macon could make it 5 teams in 5 years  ... and, including the '03 Tigers, 6 teams in 8 years ....

See you in Salem!

^ it was a very late night for us but we can't wait to go back to St. Mary's to take on F & M tonight.  Should be a good game & they brought a big crowd with them last night.

Can't help noticing that the ODAC grabbed this site's headline article this morning.  Way to go ODAC teams, the whole D-III nation is watching US this year.

As for EMU and Guilford, good wishes to both & may the best team win!  Both have had terrific seasons & this game has the Final 4 riding on it so it will  be one for the ages.  We'll be following that game as best we can.

GO JACKETS, you are really making us proud!!!!

Very, very cool to see three ODAC teams in the Elite 8!  Congrats to all three, and I hope to see 2 Final Four teams from the ODAC!

QuoteHey royalrooter - glad you liked Stamey's.  It was a bit of a madhouse tonight as far as the crowd was concerned - kudos to EMU for bringing such a large and enthusiastic crowd - I expect more of the same tomorrow.

INDEED It was a madhouse. But I love it. Any chance we could get the facilities folks to fire up the chiller and get us some AC for tonight? I was so dehydrated I made it through the night with out checking the plumbing ::)

Win or lose it has been a spectacular ride and I expect we'll see another great game tonight.  I think we'll get there early.

I talked to Wooster's Coach Moore last night before the game and he had some high praises for the ODAC. He said top to bottom there are some great teams and competition is stiff on any given night. He is a great coach and a classy guy. It's tough that someone has to lose this time of year and the other moves on.

A tall order in Ragan Brown tonight for the Runnin' Royals, but I know for a fact they are up to the challenge in their hearts. I think it will be, as 2RMCFans said, "one for the ages."! Go Royals!

Tall order?  You are figuring Guilford as the favorite in this game?
That isn't clear to me!

If Sanborn's supporting cast play decent (Bonner & Henson) tonight, I like Guilford to advance to Salem.   Still believe that 27-point thumping to EMU earlier was a bigtime aberation on what has been a stellar season for Guilford.

Wooster certainly impressed last night with their fight in the final 20 minutes.  What happened to Frank in the 1st half?  He certainly put on a show after halftime.

Unbelievable! That is all I can say. 3 ODAC teams in the Elite 8. Amazing. Congrats to RMC and GC. I have been a huge ODAC fan throughout the tournament, but now I must go back to EMU for this game hasa! I think GC will be ready and waiting for this rematch. I just hope EMU plays well. They have not played a full game all tournament, and played sub par yesterday but advanced. I'm excited, I would love EMU to make it back to Salem. If that were possible, I would love to see RMC as our opponent!!!!!!!! Good luck to all!!!
PS - not sure who it was that wrote in from Whitworth and said this matchup today between the two big men would be special and completely overlooking EMU. Well EMU was better than you thought!!!

Enjoy fiddling with the D3 Championship BeltTM tonight, sludge, and don't forget to parade it around the Field House tomorrow before the game.  :)
Oh, yeah, I forgot - the DIII Championship BeltTM resides in Ragan-Brown for at least one day.  Sweet!

RMC fans... I will be calling the game tonight between RMC and F&M starting shortly before 7 PM from St. Mary's... for those of you who may not be able to make the trip.

And according to the F&M fans, I will be a homer for RMC... so enjoy! :) Just kidding... video and audio for you to enjoy, I hope.

It was a great night and venue for basketball, wasn't it?  With the storms outside, the large number of people inside and the temperature close to 55, it was muggy.  You saw how many times they were wiping the floor!  This is probably the latest dates intercollegiate games have ever been played in Ragan-Brown, so that contributed.  FYI, I'm pretty sure they're going to direct the EMU fans to the scorers table side of the arena and put GC on the opposite side tonight.

It should be a great night - and either way, an ODAC team will be in the Final Four!

RMC fans, I'm rooting for you tonight against the Dips!

They had the exact same problems at St. Mary's last night... jammed pack gym... along with a very humid outside with pouring rain... and the pool down the hallway is being used for a major tournament this weekend... they were wiping up parts of the court for most of the second half. Even contributed to a few traveling calls... unplanned and sudden splits... and certainly added a sixth man for both teams!

Should be better tonight, I suspect.

ODAC representin' congrats to all three odac teams who are still dancing and to think maybe a few more plays the other way we might have had two odac matchups tonight.

got to see the emu/whitworth game...whitworth was very physical by ultimately emu's quickness and athleticism were too much to handle, although they almost blew a 5 pt lead with under 1 minute left. emu will definitely have to take better care of the ball tonight.

the guilford/wooster game was very entertaining...when guilford went on that 12-0 run to start the game i thought it was gonna be a long night for wooster. but wooster showed some fight...although they looked pretty much like the exact same team i saw in the final four a few years ago. tyler sanborn is definitely a beast down low.

you'll have a marlin fan in the crowd supporting the ODAC again tonight and looking forward to it. not exactly sure who i'm pulling for more tonight, wouldn't mind seeing emu's cinderella story continue but also would love to see guilford back in the final four and maybe win it this time. Good luck to both teams. See you all there, I'll be the one in neutral colors.

Just a note, but the ODAC's 10-1 so far in the tournament.  Obviously, at least one more goes home tonight.  With at least one team guaranteed a spot in the Final Four and the possibility of two, it's been a great season!
