Is the Rumor true that Harrison George did not return back to H-SC

maroon2

Scottie is a Tiger, he turned his back on the Hornet Nation (well maybe Nation is an overstatement more like community!) ;D

Michael Herbert

Harrison George is still a Tiger.  He was at the soccer game on Wednesday and I believe went on down to the gym for a little pick-up with some of the guys.

The rumor you've heard is not true.  It may have started as wishful thinking by a fan of some other team.

I think that S2H has decided to leave his dark magic behind ..... and cross over to join the forces of good in their fight for truth, justice, and the American Way!

The HSC schedule is now up:
http://www.hsc.edu/Athletics/Basketball/2010-11-Basketball-Season/2010-11-Schedule.html

The Tigers will play a Division I opponent, Elon, and they have 6 or 7 games against Division III NCAA Tournament participants (2 against Randolph-Macon, 2 against Virginia Wesleyan, EMU, Guilford .... and probably Medaille on the second day of the Holiday Hoops Tournament).

Two notes on GCQ hoops:

First, I've heard the Quakers open with an exhibition at WFU - hope that's true!

Second, Tyler Sanborn had 9/9 off the bench for Pamplona (Spain) in their first game. In their second game, he started and had 13/13. He has a contract clause for double/doubles, so a promising start.

Just saw on the R-MC website that the Sporting News ranked the Jackets a preseason #3 in Division III Hoops and Brandon Braxton is listed as a preseason Honorable mention All-American!! Good news for the Jackets, but I hope it's not the kiss of death..... ;)

Thanks, nnasid. I'd already seen official confirmation on GCQ's site as well.

Ben Strong (Guilford) is playing for a first division team in the Netherlands, Landstede Zwolle.  Haifa swapped out its entire roster this year.

This is an exciting opportunity for him.

Does either Tyler or Ben still hold any (realistic) NBA aspirations?

I have fond memories of both from d3 post-season fantasy drafts.  Earlier, anyone could pick any five players, so there was duplication.  Those 5 of us with Ben his junior year finished 1-5 (I took first)!  When Tyler was a junior, we held an actual draft; I thought he was MY secret weapon and waited 'til the 3rd round.  Gregory Sager took him ONE spot before me! >:(  (He won, by a long ways; I was second, with Tyler the difference. :(  I've been ragging Greg for his 'theft' ever since. :D)

Todd Phillips first Team all-american and Donald Vaughn and Brandon Braxton are honorable Mention... Should be an interesting year in the ODAC.
