MAN!! All this love coming from fans from two fine METHODIST-Affiliated schools??!! ;) ;) :D.........Personally, I can't wait for the rematch in the Fishtank!! >:(.......and I know my fellow Jackets will agree(plus-Its closer for me and DonHo... ;) ) I like the competition with the Tigers-but, like my fellow R-MC posters(especially my buddy Jacketlawyer)this rivalry is becoming FUN!!... ;) :D ;D

Half time  HSC 36 Johnson & Wales 21 - interesting that Johnson & Wales has 5 new players this week as they are on a quarter system so can add earlier than others - several are quite good - George already into doube figures

HSCDad

Some details on HSC game at the half - 37-21 - but 13 turnovers so issue at EMU continues - 27-13 in rebounds - George had 12, White with 8 and Jessee with 6 - too many 3 point attempts thought given height advantage that HSC has - need to take inside - only shooting 39% from the field but foul shooting has improved - 6 for 7 - everyone getting to play which is great

HSCDad

Finals  Rand 68 - W&L 66
HSC 90 Johnson & Wales 32
With 3 minutes to go VAWES 58 - E&H 49

HSC - George with 18 - Jessee 15 and White 12 - Freshman Williamson had 12 points and 14 rebounds - rebounding edge of 51-28

Good play by many especially in 2nd half - much fewer turnovers - now on to Randolph on Wed - they will be charged up as they came from behind to beat W&L at home

Getting geared up for the Royals Game.  You better be bringing your A-Game Macon.  this should be a huge crowd.  Go Royals!!! ;D

At the half:  R-MC is up by 6 over host EMU

Jackets have low turnovers, but still missing some easy layups.

A rowdy crowd is on hand for this game!

GO JACKETS!!!

Final score from EMU:   R-MC 73 over EMU 68

Jackets pick up the big road win with tough defense and much better ball control.  EMU closed a 13 point deficit in the 2nd half to 2 pts.  It was a nail biter tonight.

GREAT JOB JACKETS!!!

435, don't think it was the A game but it got the Jackets a much needed W .

Okay better ball control i will agree, but the big road win?  you can thank the refs.  that game was horrible.  How do you call a tripping foul on the royals, and then the VERY NEXT PLAY todd phillips is tripped in the open court (it was so obvious) and no call.  The game was awful all around.  just about all of our starters had two fouls, and alot of them barely touched the player, and then no call back the other way.  Way to go refs.  i dont see us having a problem next time if there is some fair officiating.  If anybody was at the game, i do not see how they could refute that the refs were making terrible calls against EMU all game.  We still would have won had we hit our free throws, but it sucks when the refs leave such a bad taste in your mouth from the game.

Thanks to the refs.  it was really bad.  Everyone could see it.  Kirby was not happy after this one.  i am going to turn my Computer off now because i am so mad.  We will even this up.  Just like last year when we knocked them off their horse early on.  we will get it when it matters.

My guess is that the refs made EMU give up 15 offensive rebounds to just 21 Royal defensive rebounds, a pitiful rebounding job, made EMU shoot 6-21 from the three point line, and made EMU commit 18 turnovers?

All of the EMU starters had two fouls, but so did the R-MC starters. R-MC starters with 14 fouls, EMU starters with 12 fouls so I don't see how the EMU starters all getting called for 2 or more fouls makes a difference here. Big difference in fouls was Andrew Thorne who had five fouls in just 20 minutes.

Sooo the #1 team lost, the #2 team lost, EMU lost to RMC, who lost to VWC, who came into the week ranked #9 and beat the #7 ranked team and won again today to bring their record to 9-0.... could VWC possibly be ranked in the top 5 when the new polls come out?

The Quakers over BC today in Bridgewater, 78-65 - looked like pretty balanced scoring from several Guilford players.  GCQ improves to 5-2, 1-0.
