Hopefully, by the time Shenandoah joins the ODAC, we'll become better spellers.

Thanks DeWayne..Actually not only did I type Shenandoah incorrectly, I named the wrong team.  The Marlins beat  North Carolina Wesleyan by 12. Sorry for the typo, but I wasn't wrong about the 11-0.  Go Marlins!! Congratulations to Coach Macedo on the birth of his new son also.  Quite a day for the coach.

You're not the first person to get Shenandoah wrong, but you may be the first person to misspell the wrong school.  :)

All kidding aside, the Marlins look like they've got it going this season.  Congratulations also to Coach Macedo - nice early Christmas present.

Guilford fell 74-60 at Maryville today.  At 5-5, it's going to be a different sort of year for the Quakers.

Hopefully, by the time Shenandoah joins the ODAC, Greensboro won't lose their book and ball to the bank.

Deadpan humor is an art form - I do mine with and for bas-relief - it's my holiday gift to you.  Merry Christmas and safe travels to all as well!

 That is some hot shooting.
Congrats to Adam Desgain, that is one fine display of shooting!!

I saw the Guilford-Maryville game.  Maryville's first half was about as good as a team can play, led by the defense, which did not let Guilford do much.  Pittman had essentially no looks.  Second half was a bit different.  Maryville lost some intensity and the Quakers played better, especially on defense.  Pittman is quick and I guess usually can hit his shots.  Akinsola was impressive on the boards.  I bet the Quakers will beat quite a few teams the rest of the way.

I saw the Guilford-Maryville game.  Maryville's first half was about as good as a D3 team can play, led by the defense, which did not let Guilford do much.  Pittman had essentially no looks.  Second half was a bit different.  Maryville lost some intensity and the Quakers played better, especially with a full-court defense.  Pittman is quick and I guess usually can hit his shots.  Akinsola was impressive on the boards.  I bet the Quakers will beat quite a few teams the rest of the way.

It was nice not to have to deal with the Big Person.

The only thing that worries me is "Live by the three,Die by it".....If,though, we are playing the inside out game and when the 3 isn't falling we're going inside then thats a different story.......we just have to be concious of that..... ;)

I tuned in for the audio and got video as well, so I watched most of the game. It's often hard to tell with a small picture on a small screen exactly what's going on, but my impression was that Averett was concentrating heavily on interior defense and pretty much ignoring the perimeter defense and paid for it big time. So many of those 3s seemed wide open. The shooting percentage was still amazing.
