If you've never seen Josh Pittman play (or even if you have), here's some action from the GC/RMC game.  To all my friends at RMC, it's obviously prettty Quaker-centric, so sorry in advance:

Nice footage.  Congrats on the win, BTW, Hasa. ;D
Don't apologize Hasa!! Great game-like I said,that kid was in a ZONE!!
"We're completely surrounded-Excellent!...Now we can attack in any direction!'....Chesty Puller, USMC

Thanks, rmc1982.  I'm old school, I guess, and this kid often reminds me of Pistol Pete Maravich.  At some point, when the score and type of game dictate it, I predict Josh Pittman will put a 50 on somebody ... and I hope I'm there to see it!  He can go cold, but when he's in a zone like he was Saturday, the basket might as well have been the Atlantic Ocean!

You are absolutely spot on, Hasa, with your comparison to Maravich! The kid is absolutely fearless and pulls the trigger from anywhere. He is an opposing coach's nightmare ;D

Facility Rankings:
1) VWC
2) EMU
3) H-SC
4) E&H
5) R-MC
6) W&L
7) Roanoke
8) LC
9) Bridgewater
10) Guilford - lower than what everyone else probably has, but I just don't really like much of anything about it. it has been 2 or 3 years since i've been there, but I don't recall hearing of any major changes since then
11) Randolph

EMU and VWC do have an advantage in that their gyms are part of the student center, so it's a bit of apples and oranges when comparing it to the others which don't have student centers attached.

I don't place Guilford's at the bottom because the floor is nice and they have the hanging scoreboards with the portable backboards with the rims that bend on the side... the design of it is pretty unique also... I also didn't put Bridgewater at the bottom because the small size and the design gives it a unique, cozy, old time b-ball game feel. When it gets packed in there it can get loud also.. a pretty tough place to play. Lynchburg's gym just looks straight up like an old High School gym.
I actually dislike their scoreboard, the bleachers (last time I went there were holes in them), and the fact that there is a huge open area at one end of the court.

BC's was too small for me.

Pittman is securely on the first-team for me. That video was the only footage I have seen of Guilford this year and there were some Jimmer type shots from Pittman on there!

"You've been jimmered" has been a popular chant at BYU this season - if Josh keeps playing like he did versus RMC, we'll have to coin something equally catchy at Guilford.  I think he may get first-team as well, although his 1-point and 3-point efforts versus Averett and VWC, respectively, are in the mix.  Fortunately, however, both were GC victories.

Yes, and don't forget when people were getting "Pittsnogled" from 2002-06! Unfortunately he has turned into a fat lard now, according to this http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Finally-an-answer-to-Whatever-happened-to-Kevi?urn=ncaab-134910

Yeah, I see what you mean.  "You've been Joshed" or "you've been JP'ed" might be better!

Or 'You've got to be Joshing' or 'Don't be Joshing me!'

How could a guy throw down 30 Pts on a top-10 team and not be conference POTW?

Brian Hamilton

Because someone else may have thrown down 30+!   ;D

Just back in town from a long weekend. Nice win for Guilford this past weekend Nova!

If that were true, I'd agree, but averaging 20 pts (no offense to the LC kid) against two lowly programs like J&W and HSC is not 30 pts against the mighty YJs of RMC. ;D

Thanks, donho.  It was a nailbiter - RMC could have won on that last shot and everyone in the gym was on their feet.  The last two Saturdays have been great - wish we hadn't sandwiched that blown lead at Randolph in between, but the Wildcats are having a great season.  Now, a road trip to Roanoke tomorrow!  We should have a really interesting ODAC tournament this season!

donho

Tonight starts a stretch of games that are very important for R-MC. They need to win these next three games. Hope they are up to the task!
