Didn't understand why Eric Pugh wasn't on the floor towards the end last night rmc1982.. he's probably the best for RMC at creating his own shot, which was needed because no one could seem to put it in the basket last night..... Like I said earlier I don't think theres a team that defends VWC like RMC does.. I knew the score was going to be low like that. Some people may not have come away impressed but I think that win, (under pressure, getting stops when they really needed them, taking care of the ball) did alot for the Marlins. I just knew that heave by Desgain at the end was going to go in.. it looked good from where I sat.... congrats to VWC on the win but we can't be satisfied. Two of the toughest road trips back to back on tap... @HSC and @ EMU Saturday and Monday

DeWayne - I'll say it again...it must have been one heck of a game. I also think it was a big confidence builder and I'm picking the Marlins to win out.

.....and excuse me, the one that was hitting all the 3's was Teasley, #32 not #12.....he was the one killing us outside !

^^ we also thought Pugh should have been the one to get the ball for the late 3 attempts but, in all fairness, Adam Desgain has certainly been a clutch last second shooter for us, too.  Lately we have seen too many of his longs go into the basket only to pop back out.  Hopefully whatever weird twist he's putting on those shots will undo itself before the tournament.

Kudos to all the winners last night but we are as impressed by VWC's game against us this season as ever.

GO JACKETS!!!

Doubleheader at Guilford's Ragan-Brown tomorrow - men vs Randolph at 2 pm and women vs Lynchburg at 4 pm.  Men's alumni game at 11 and Senior day for the ladies.  Hope we'll have a good crowd.  I look for the men to play very hard - they want to avenge the game they let slip away at Randolph a few weeks ago.  Go Quakers!

I'm not buying the upset win over the Marlins. If anything, the Marlins should come out running and conceivably could beat the Tigers by 10 or 20.

I agree with Jdubyadubya, I think the Marlins will beat the Tigers but by how much I don't know.  Home court advantage is a factor, but Macedo will have the team ready.  Good luck to all the Teams tomorrow.

The thing with H-SC this season is, you just can never tell what they're going to do.  We say "Marlins beware" but that's not underestimating VWC in any way.  Should be a great game, maybe the game of the week!

Good luck to all the teams this weekend.

GO JACKETS!!!!

H-SC up by 4 (35-31) at half over VW - led most of way and at one time by 12 - VW led once by 1 - a lot of fouls - turnovers brought VW back into game plus 12 foul shots made out of 18 tries - actually 7 turnovers by both so equal there - 20 to 14 rebounds in H-SC favor - Vaughn has 3 fouls and sat out awhile - over all fouls high for both teams as closely called game - new scorer's electronic table which looks great - only Div III team in nation with this type of digital board put there by H-SC Roundball Club - a lot of sponsors made it possible and it is appreciated

We had a feeling about this one... but we don't call fouls of 31 (VWC) to 23 (H-SC) "close".  Also, noticed there were several technicals in the closing minutes.  Must have been a pretty hot time out there today!  Congrats to the Tigers.

Jackets beat the Maroons by 30 some.  Should be an interesting ODAC week ahead.  GO JACKETS!!!!
