Dewayne I am on your side about the Marlins. I think their youth showed up in the last couple of games. Plus the one big thing hey have going for them is their COACH.
Bossman, no never mind .

DAAAANNNNNGGGGG............. uuggghhhh im really blown about this... which one of my fellow ODAC posters wants to scalp a ticket for me? I'm totally serious too I really wanted to go to this game lol

FISHTANKFAN

I took the top 6 teams in the ODAC and their win/loss records.  Home court advantage is the main  culprit of why teams are losing or winning.  Twenty-seven of a combined 34 losses for the top 6 teams were on the road. (as it should)  You can discuss the teams as you wish, but  home court has ruled this year.  The losses are as follows : RMC 3-1, HSC 7-1, VWC 3-0, Guilford 5-2, EMU 3-1, RC 6-2.  The real test of who will rule the ODAC  this year will be the tournament in Salem, and what team is peaking that weekend.  Simple as that.

FISHTANKFAN

Also, since Randolph joined the ODAC, there is a rotating schedule, hence why VWC only played Guilford and EMU once this year.  Last year, the Marlins played GC  twice, RMC twice and HSC only once.

Go ahead Donho, say what you feel...No harsh feelings on my end. I may sound a bit bias when it comes to the Runnin' Royals but who on here isnt for the school they went to or the team they're pulling for? I just want to see some quality basketball down the home stretch and hopefully we have three teams get in from the ODAC.   ;D

The Marlins play HSC & RMC 2x each every year.

Brian Hamilton

Sorry Fishtankfan but HSC and VWC will always play each other twice because they have been considered Rivals.  Just like HSC and RMC.  In fact, HSC played VWC twice last year and every year before that.  Last year HSC lost at VWC 69-67 on January 13, 2010, and lost 89-79 to them at home on February 20, 2010. (Visit http://www.hsc.edu/Athletics/Basketball/2009-10-Basketball-Season/2009-10-Schedule.html to check it out.)  Things may change next year with Shenandoah joining the league if they go to two separate divisions with everyone playing those in their division twice and the other division once but that remains to be seen.

I'm guessing one div. would have the 6 teams that are west of the Blue Ridge & the other div. would have the 6 teams that are east of the Blue Ridge (and at this time would be much stronger).

FISHTANKFAN

Sorry, my error.  The VWC  archives only went up until Feb 13th of last year and did not show the other HSC game on Feb. 20th.  Odd why it was not completed.

I wonder what's gonna happen in the regional rankings today-Will the EMU's move in?....will R-MC jump ahead of VWC even though they lost twice to the fish?Gonna be interesting to see....

Should be very interesting to see!! What do ya think the odds are of having 3 ODAC teams make the tourney again this year are, assuming Va Wes, RMC, and EMU all finish strong and have a decent showing in the Tourney in Salem???

I agree.  I see the "Valley" teams (E&H, W&L, RoC, EMU, BC and SU) in one division with the "Piedmont/Battle/?" teams (GC, LC, RaC, HSC, RMC and VWC) in the other.  It would still be a 16-game schedule.  The power is skewed to the east now, but things change over time.  I'd see the traditional end-of-season rivalry games as LC/RaC, HSC/RMC, GC/VWC, EMU/BC, W&L/RoC and E&H/SU.

I think it's above average with Guilford winning the ODAC tournament and VWC and RMC getting Pool bids if they make it to the semifinals.  :)

All kidding aside, if any team gets a 5th loss before the tournament semifinals, I think they have to win the conference tournament to get in.

Haha, I didnt mean to leave your red hot Quakers out of the conversation hasanova. 8-) Sorry bout that!! I'd agree with your post though, a loss would be devastating to any teams hopes at this point!! Should be an interesting few weeks!!
