Anyone have any complaints about Nunley getting Coach of the Year now? He just outcoached the top team in the conference...

Two things that lost the Marlins the ball game.... they let Randolph's guards go around them too much for layups, and Randolph was striking from the 3 point line.... hit a couple of miracle 3s at crucial times.... most notably the 3 pointer right before halftime and the 30 something foot prayer from Caleb Pearson with 3 seconds left on the shot clock with about a minute to go and Randolph leading by 3 points. Randolph played great though, and I don't see why anyone would have opposition to Clay Nunley getting coach of the year.... he has built that program from nothing into a team that is one victory away from an ODAC championship and an NCAA tournament berth.  The Marlins didn't fold and battled until the end and for that I am proud of them.... keep your head up fellas because the season isn't over yet... we'll be playing next week, maybe even at the Beach if RMC doesnt take the ODAC Crown tomorrow.

Plus, gas is over $3.00 a gallon now... maybe that was a divine intervention telling me I don't need to be making any 160 mile trips anytime soon  :D

These 2 teams on the floor right now were both among the last 8 teams standing last year in the NCAAs.  Randolph-Macon brought back all of their starters from their team.  EMU brought back all of their starters.  Nobody lost anything from last year's team and they're as good or better than they were then.  Whoever wins this game, both of these teams need to be in the NCAA tournament again .... and they need to be in different halves of the bracket, so that they don't need to face either again unless they both get to the DIII national final.  Either has the potential to do that.

RMC up 9 with just under 2 mins to go in the 1st half 36-27

My internet is too slow for the video. Is EMU looking like they have tired legs or is the R-MC defense locking down the EMUs, or a bit of both?

If EMU can't make free throws, they might as well forget about making a comeback since they can't shoot field goals either.

EMU looks awfully sloppy but you can contribute all that to RMC's Defense. RMC is dominating my Royals. Depressing!!!
Poor showing for the royals, total opposite can be said for the yellow jackets.

Randolph's run to the ODAC Championship game is why I wanted HSC to get the 5 seed.  I felt a 1st round game with Guilford was very winable as well as a second round game with VWC.  The Tigers matched up better with those teams than they did EMU in particular.  Congrats to Randolph on their first ODAC championship game.  They have given themselves a chance to go to the dance.  I don't believe they will be able to get there, but I wouldn't have thought they would get to the championship game either.  That's why we play the games!

Todd Phillips has had one of the most underwhelming ODAC Tournament performances ever for a Player of the Year. It is certainly the worst by miles and miles that I have ever seen. He only shot 4-17 yesterday and was a horrendous 1-10 on two pointers! Today he was 4-16 overall, 2-10 on two pointers. Combined he was 8-33 (24.2%) overall and 3-20 (15%) from two point range.

Jackets win 90-79! We will have a tough test against Randolph but I think our seniors are up to the task.....Good Luck to the Marlins AND the EMU's , whom I feel will both be in the NCAA tourney!Another Stellar defensive effort by our guys! GO JACKETS!
"We're completely surrounded-Excellent!...Now we can attack in any direction!'....Chesty Puller, USMC

Randolph vs. Randolph-Macon. Either way it goes, John Randolph will be one happy dead guy tomorrow. Assuming he likes basketball that is.

Calm down partner...I understand you're not happy your boy Harrison didnt win the award but dont come on here and blast the kid for not having a good game or two. He's been the rock for this squad all damn year. Without T.P. taking games over here and there EMU isn't in consideration for a Pool C bid. So get off your high horse and let it be, he didnt play well....so what. Have a little class and let it be.
