Our women's team is going to Pennsylvania to Lebanon Valley to play-not staying in Ashland.....so much for that theory.... ??? ::)

Let me preface this by saying I agree EMU should have been in.  But I find it highly unfair that everyone is singling out my Titans for the blame.  If reports are correct, EMU never even made it to the table, because Ferrum was ahead of them in line and was left at the table.

Blame the South regional rankings all you want, but IWU is NOT why EMU didn't make it in.

I'd prefer to host in Ashland as far as the men are concerned, but you know what?  Big Deal. ::)  MSM is not that far away, and if we can win on the road, I like our chances in Salem.

Not saying that IWU is the reason EMU didn't make it. Just making a comparison and doing a little NCAA selection commmittee bashing, which is what they get at all levels this time of year when the selections are made. IWU is an excellent team and certainly better than many that got AQs, but we know that's they way the system is structured. I hope IWU does well in the tournament. Maybe my acquaintance TitanQ will even forgive me for what I posted after the IWU-Webster game on 11/29 that upset him so much.

Not blaming the Titans at all...They got in and we didnt...If anyone's to blame it's EMU for not scheduling enough regional games....It worked out for us last year because we beat two #1's....this year we didnt have a signature win besides Va Wesleyan...We can sit back and point fingers all we want but the more I think about it....it looks like we have no one to blame but ourselves...

You can blame RMC, 'cause I think a single regular season win against RMC, would have help regionally and gotten you in!

Very valid point....Was just thinking the exact same thing on my ride home from work!! the two regular season games were just complete battles and fun to watch! Surely wish we coulda pulled one of the three games out! But, like I said RMC is the real deal and I looked for them to have a ton of success in the coming weeks!! Good Luck to the Jackets and Marlins, bring the ODAC home a championship!!  ;D 8-)

Yeah, you're right --we were all disappointed not to be picked to host anything.  BUT, time to move on. See you at St. Mary's -- as many as can get there!  It actually works better for some of our players' families to be there & that's super important, too.  GO JACKETS!!!!

And you know what 78, ONE win against VWC and we would probably be hosting. :) I looked at the board at work and could not post, now at home and just wanted to put my 2 cents in on hosting verses not hosting. It is our own fault. No biggy. We like St. Mary's gym!

On another note , I can not attend friday but as last year am making plans for saturday. Anyone wanting to go I will drive and am planning on leaving around noon from virginia beach.planning on 6pm game time.

2RMCFANS-You're RIGHT! Time to move on! I can't make friday because i'm working but i think I can make the saturday game.DonHo-I usually go with a bunch of my old classmates but i will let you know later in the week as time progresses and i see what they're gonna do.if they go friday and stay all weekend i may hitch a ride!....;-).....We WILL have a big crowd there-a BIG NOISY CROWD,TOO!! Plus-if we win thru there's always the chance we get to host the following weekend( I wouldn't hold my breath but we still have a chance.. ;) :D ;D)....Best of luck to BOTH our women's AND men's teams! Go Jackets!!

Well, I'd like to see both ODAC teams at Salem. I'm having difficulty accounting for 4 bids last year and only two this year. It's not like those four teams didn't represent well. There has got to be a better way.

RE: RMC not hosting... Last night on Hoopsville there was discussion about RMC getting a bye and hosting the 2nd round so women could host. If they are still alive I wonder if the might host 3rd round?
My only guess for RMC not hosting is that their girls will host. Girls get priority hosting in week 1 over guys.Men get priority in Week 2..... Maybe that is the reason...
This is a tough one to swallow for EMU and the Senior. They have done us proud and hopefully started a tradition of consistent winning! My guess is EMU could have gone to the sweet 16/elite 8 pretty easily. I hope it is a VWC/RMC Championship game!!!

I think that the NCAA places much more weight on regular season success than on conference tournament success.  I think that is why VWC is hosting and RMC is not.

FISHTANKFAN

I like RMC's  chances in their bracket.  They should go very deep. at least to the final four.  Not sure how the Marlins will fare if they win the first 2 rounds.  To get to the final four they would most likely have to face Williams and Amherst, both very, very good teams.  They have done it before but not with such a young team. We shall see.  I wish RMC all the luck in the world.  I too, would love to see a VWC/RMC final.  Where's Brandon Adair when you need him?
