Thanks, 2RMCFans.

Guilford's got a great golf team this season and the young first-year coach, Corey Maggard, has done a tremendous job since taking over last fall after Coach Jensen's untimely death in March last year.  Guilford is the host team for this year's DIII national championship to be played at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro May 10-13, so hopefully this will bode well for the Quakers.

Come on DeWayne, you guys do not need anymore help. Send em to R-MC where the cupboard is half empty.
On another note, WHO has been eating my karma??

Cameron Owens may have the longest neck I have ever seen on a human being.

Just heard that RMC gets tallest recruit in school history.  Hunter Fromang of Lake Highland Prep in Orlando, Florida is 7' and 255 lbs.

At 7' and going DIII, one can assume the stats are not stellar.  But you can't teach height, and I welcome this young man to R-MC.

So he is 7', 255 pounds, basically was a cheerleader on the bench in high school, and going D3?

Yep, that's the definition of a long term project player.

Certainly a project, but there could be a lot of upside here.  First, he's not 210 or 310.  Second, I read one article that insinuated that he's only had one year of organized b-ball.  A year or two of development, and who knows.  I like the opportunity for RMC and Coach Davis.  So, Hunter, welcome to RMC,

I'm thinking RMC got themselves a good one in Hunter Fromang ;D

Regardless of how Hunter Fromang turns out, Florida can be good recruiting territory for D3 coaches because, if I'm not mistaken, there are no D3 schools in Florida. Yet, undoubtedly there are players who would like to keep playing after high school but can't play at the higher levels in state. One of our St. Louis schools has three players from the same high school in Fort Lauderdale who will be sophomores next year, and had another player from Florida a few years ago who was a first team all-conference player as a senior.

I'm not familiar with the rosters of ODAC schools other than R-MC. Are there any other players from Florida in the conference?

I know Emory & Henry, Hampden-Sydney and Lynchburg have had some Florida players. I'm sure W&L has had some Floridians given the diversified geography of their team every year. Emory & Henry had Lance Reasbeck. Lynchburg had Pete Manos. Hampden-Sydney had Jonathan Mudd and Shayne Payne. Additionally, Alex Potapov from H-SC went to high school in Florida, but is from Russia. After looking at roster, there are only three current players listed as from Florida: Tyler Burnett for Lynchburg and Jorel Torrell and Joey Earle for E&H.
