To my nemesis, be fair.  I haven't posted since April 5 (and that was nothing to get upset about), but you've gone in daily for the last week to 10 days and dinged me.  Did I do something to tick you off?  I "get" karma and smiting, but I don't understand smiting when you don't post anything.  :)

There once was a poster who's read
With humor and insight and dread.
He said "Was I clever
Or will I forever
Get hit with a smite when I'm dead!?"

The smiter is envious of the ODAC D3boards Bard of the Limerick.  ;)
Thanks, Ralph, but that's probably open to debate.  lol  According to Pat's post on ODAC football, he may be envious of 17 others as well.  :)

There once was a hotshot named Turner
On d three The Fonz, not a learner!
With a handle like Ralph
Nothing rhymes except Malph
Happy Days when your post lights his burner!

Thanks, I am honored.

The difference between the USA South and the ODAC is I tried a haiku on the USASouth baseball board and it must have gone straight over their heads.  (Please read the posts above it for the context, cited below.)

However, in this context I was mostly joking. Check the batteries in your sarcasm meter.
I think sarcasmometers run on solar energy and usually malfunction when someone's in the dark.  :)

Sarcasmometer.
Literary tool of note
On the USAC boards.   ;)

...casting pearls before swine...   ::)

Thank you, Ralph - you honor me as well.  With apologies to the Bard of Avon, if Sarah Palin can invent "refudiate", I figured the field was wide open for "sarcasmometer."  :)

Several strings of pearls here :)

In a Nice bar called Salut

(I'll take Mutant Vegetables for $200, Alex)

There once was a wordsmithing phenom
Whose limericks explode like a B-omb
His rhymes might entrance
And once, while in France,
He drank most where they all knew his Nom

Hasanova - Well done. Bravo! We appreciate you and your work on this board. Perhaps better known to that other board might be someone like Daniel Lawrence Whitney.  ;D

Thank you also, JWW.  I appreciate it.

The (sing me the) Blue(s) Collar Comedy Tour

There once was a fun son-of-a-gun
With bare arms where his sleeves had begun.
He said, "When I'm able,
I'll hook up your cable
'Cause my tattoos say 'I git 'er done' "!

News and notes regarding BC recruits.  For BC's sake I hope some of these guys can play right away or they will continue their descent to the bottom of the ODAC under Burgess.

Bridgewater still needs some height, they didnt have that much last year and it killed them almost every game

If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

badcall!

Word is that Coach Burgess of BC is chasing the Radford University job hard by contacting every RU alum out there.  Apparently he is telling everyone that he is in a"bad situation" at BC and wants out.  I know a lot of BC folks would be glad if he got the job but I doubt seriously at this point he has a chance to even get an interview although he was a heck of a player there back in the day.

If true, dissing your current employer is not the best way to get a new job.

narch, I don't think you were reading the baseball boards that week, because I think that you would have gotten it.

Trust me, narch "gets it".  It's "good to be King" as long as it's not "Don".  :)  Plus one for the the King and his Court.

there are some that would say it's good to don king, even...the man sure has gotten away with a lot of things that common folk don't/can't/wouldn't think to try...
