2) HSC- They return almost everyone and if Harrison and the coach dont have problems they can be a very good team next year
Have there been problems with Harrison George and the HSC Coach?  Some folks I've talked to at NC-based schools said they backed off George (even though he's from Raleigh) because they weren't sure if he'd be a potential discipline or coaching problem.  What's been his experience at Sydney?

Harrison was getting almost 29 minutes a game and would have been getting over 30 minutes except for foul trouble in a few games. By his sophomore year, he had matured to a level where coaching problems were over, as far as I could see. Coach Vick was able to count on him for consistent contributions, as he led the Tigers in scoring (20.0 ppt), field goal percentage (56%), rebounding (8.0 rpg) and steals (1.5 spg) and was very solid at the foul line (75%).  Harrison is the ODAC's #1 returning player and a tremendous asset for HSC.  Happily for HSC fans, he will be only a junior this year.

In addition to returning nearly everyone from last year, the Tigers have a solid recruiting class, including a 6'8" power forward from the Blue Ridge School, Cam Anderson. With a team that includes George, White, Ward, Jessee, Corrigan, Williamson, Potapov, and Anderson, it won't be shocking if the Tigers improve on last year's 1-1 record against VWC ....  ;D

It is strange to me how HSC gets a kid who is a top 150 recruit in the country who was getting recruited by VA Tech. If they keep this up they will be in the Final Four in no time.

Yeah, that's a coup for the Tigers.  You don't usually expect a DIII to get a kid who's been on DI radar for as long as Anderson has been.  Certainly there are others factors behind where a kid wants to go to school and HSC must have done a great job of recruiting.

From what I heard he is best friends with the kritzer kid coming in so he chose to follow him. Bet all the other ODAC schools wished they would have recruited Kritzer. LOL

Here's a story on a Guilford recruit that I just stumbled across.  Sounds like a good 6'5" prospect for the Quakers at the number 4 forward spot.  Will Freeman's from 4A Richmond County HS in southeastern NC, a school that also sent Guilford alumnus and starting forward Eric Belkoski to Ragan-Brown.  Other than misspelling Palombo and Dominion and incorrectly stating his scholarship was a "combination of athletic and academic" aid, not a bad article about the young man.

I know a couple of players on the team and they thought that the coach and George had problems at times and I remembered the Lynchburg game were he didnt get that much PT and I dont think he was injured

Sometimes a coach will sit a star just to make a point about who's in charge - sounds like that's what happened here.

If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

Hey Guys - it says that the Gennies "signed" a transfer player from Greensboro. I thought the Marlins were the only team that gave out athletic scholarships ;D ;D

Seatfiller,
If you are talking about this year's game at LC, George got injured during that game and missed at least the next game against BC with a concussion.  He sat out the remainder of the LC game due to the blow he took that caused the concussion.

That's what my sources have told me...now what league he's in over there is another story. May not be Italy, but I do know for fact that he boarded a plane and flew to that region. Maybe it's not Italy....would explain why I cannot find a link anywhere  :D
