Davidson downed the DII Lenoir-Rhyne Bears 81-44 in an exhibition game last night.  Guilford opens with the Wildcats on Friday, November 11, at the Belk Arena on Davidson's campus.  It will be the official opener for DC, but an exhibition on GC's schedule.  By the way, the Wildcats were picked first in the preseason SoCon poll.   :'(

I had to change logins, I am the former PA Royals Fan.  Just wanted to share the following images from last night.  Haven't seen a longer report yet.  http://emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2011-12/releases/20111110ws0nu1

I just checked the HSC schedule. Whoever put this together does not like the Tigers; last three games are @VWC, @ Guilford and RMC @ home. They will play three of the better teams back to back to back. Welcome to ODAC basketball.
Sorry to see football season coming to an end but I am excited to see some more ODAC basketball. Should be another exciting year.

Thats a good opportunity to see what HSC is really made of and other news in the conference from last night:

Roanoke fell to Furman last night 75-49 in a scrimmage

Davidson beats Guilford 111-64

Liberty beats Randolph 81-58

Reports out of Marlinland say that the RMC student section, at the CNU game, spotted a VWC assistant coach scouting the game and serenaded him with "Overrated" chants.. Nov. 30th.. that's all I gotta say.

Dewayne......that is total BS. I was there. It never happened. With that talented Marlin squad why do you even need to worry? I did not realize you were "Mr. Motivational Man" for the fishies.

DeWayneCarter

I doubt the source I got it from would make it up.. and why wouldn't VWC want to be motivated? It's the ODAC... talent alone doesn't cut it here

Cold shooting night for both teams at GC's Ragan-Brown Fieldhouse tonight, but the Quakers prevail over the Methodist Monarchs, 65-53.  Three Quakes in double figures with Lowder, Pittman and Sullivan with 13, 12 and 12, respectively.  GCQ at Greensboro's tiny gym tomorrow night ... this game shouldn't be played in that venue, but that's just my opinion.  Go Quakers!

Now, now Dewayne. I never left Crenshaw Gym this evening. There the whole time.  No chants whatsoever. That is the truth. I do not know who or why anybody would want to fabricate such a lie.

^ We were there too & didn't hear it.  Sometimes you can't understand what the students are chanting, but last night they weren't chanting anything.

4 Jackets in double figures against a very scrappy CNU defense.

GO JACKETS!!!!

Very cool that Andre Simon, who played a total of 43 minutes and scored a total of 14 points as a frosh last season gets 28 minutes and 28 points in the first game of his sophomore year at R-MC. Not expecting that every game, of course, but perhaps there is some talent in Ashland that we didn't get a very good look at last season.
