As to the RMC-HSC matchup, I see HSC as a much taller and more physical team than RMC, so I think one of the keys to the game will be Dylan Cole.  He needs to stay on the floor (averages 3.5 fouls per game) and keep his head in the game and not be frustrated by the hard interior play that I anticipate that HSC will throw at RMC.

I know this is random..... but you know how we think the ODAC has the worst officials? (Some games, yes they do haha) One of the refs, I think his name is Kevin Ayers, also gets a fair amount of ACC games. I remember seeing him officiate Duke/Wake Forest a couple years back. I also spotted him on TV this past weekend. He gave Coach Calipari a tech against Tennessee. I also see some ODAC refs at the high school level and they do the best job compared to the other HS refs I've seen.

So, maybe they're not all THAT bad  ;)
Just a bit of trivia, but one of the refs in the GC/E&H game in Greensboro last night was Scott Smith.  Scott is the son of former UNC basketball coach Dean Smith.  To me, the resemblance is clear.  I've seen Scott calling a number of GC games this year - not sure if he ever gets sent to ODAC games in Virginia.

^ well, we can hope!  (I'll bet he knows his basketball.)

The only thing scarcer than tickets for Crenshaw on Sat. will be parking.  There's also a multi-college swim meet in the Brock Center that day.  Considering construction sites are all over the campus these days, we'd all better car pool to the game even though it IS J-Term.

GO JACKETS!!!

2Fans, that's the most logical explanation presented so far.  Allocating the tickets to admissions makes sense, but may diminish some crowd enthusiam if the crowd is half visitors.  I won't be there, so tell me how is goes.
I totally agree 78RMC!! I know I've been pokin' at my HSC friends but the absolutely best games and the best times were when the stands were probably 2/3 to 1/3 in favor of the home team, whether or not it was in Crenshaw or in Fleet!!I have a TON of friends who are HSC alums and we'd all pile in the cars and go to the game, go to Andy's or Smokey Pig in Ashland(The PIG now closed unfortunately) and have a meal and a couple of beverages, then go to the game and sit in our respective areas, and,as Jacketlawyer says-"afterwards eat and drink as friends".Its really a shame this game will not be like that-I understand why, I just don't agree with the logistical planning of it all! I can't go tomorrow because of work, but I will watch and listen to my favorite announcers on the school feed-should be another epic battle!!GO JACKETS!!

Yeah, you would think so.  Can you imagine how many autographs, game programs and photos he probably has?  I bet it would be amazing to know how many famous coaches, players and celebrities he's met in his life.

Will there be a webcast for the Sydeny-Macon game? Since I'm not one of the handpicked folks issued a ticket, I'll be sitting home for this one...

Sit at home and listen to the broadcast. Your handpicked ticket...as well as others'...has been passed along to the Cam Anderson Foundation...an "In theTop 150 Division One Recruits" ... that ends up at HSC? D3?

Stop complaining about tickets. Rather question your institution's standards of admittance.

Yes, there's a link on both HSC and RMC basketball pages.  Check under Schedules.

Yes because Randolph-Macon has NEVER admitted an athlete who was less than stellar student coming out of high school ::) Does the name David Carlson ring a bell for you?

What's your problem with Cam?  Do you know him or have you ever had the chance to have a conversation with him.  He's actually a pretty smart guy with a great head on his shoulders.  Just because a great player ends up at a D-III school doesn't mean that he will be a superstar or a game changer.  It's a team sport and there are plenty of other great athletes at many other schools.  Think about the first team All-Americans for D-III; do they have special funds at their respective schools? I doubt it and I doubt Cam will be an All- American this year and maybe not in his career.

Yes, surprising to me, since my key to the game, Dylan Cole, is sitting the bench with the flu.  HSC is talented, a little surprised that they've played poorly, so I still think the second half will be a battle.

Jackets are 10-11 from the foul line while HSC is 0-2.  Sounds like HSC has missed lots of easy shots. HSC hits 3 to open 2nd half and a steal with a basket.  Now down 2. HSC ties it and Macon hits 3. 39-36 Macon with 18 and some change to play.
