^^Yes, we agree w/you all, this weekend's game is a big one at W & L.  Only brought up a later game as a heads up for tix since R-MC caught some bad press for being late to advise of a sell out in another recent big game.

GO JACKETS!!!
AGREED guys!! we need to beat the Gennies FIRST before we can worry about next wednesday!! and that's CERTAINLY NOT a given!!.......but if you need tickets for next wed.......you better act NOW!! GO JACKETS!!!DonHO-You coming up?

The Gennies need this if we hope to have a +.500 conference record. Hopefully they're fired up to get another historic upset of RMC in the Warner Center!

^ yes, that's been known to happen at W & L v. R-MC games, so we hope the Jackets are ready!

Good luck to everyone around the ODAC this weekend.

When you are 14 - 62 against a team all-time, it's nice to send them home from your gym with a loss. Nice job today Generals against RMC. Hopefully it will give a little momentum, or at least wash away the taste of the previous game against Randolph.

Congratulations to the Generals for toppling the Yellow Jackets today.  RMC's shooting percentage was less than 30%, while W&L topped 50%.  Basketball can be a funny game.  After today, it's really shaping up as a three-way race for 2nd - I'm not sure anyone can make up two games with the Marlins.

We were at the R-MC women's game v. E & H, but heard the score from Lexington.  Congrats to the Generals on what sounds like a very lopsided contest.

Congrats to all the weekend's winners (including R-MC women taking 2)!

Jackets have only a little time to regroup... hope they will be ready at home on Wed.

GO JACKETS!!!!

A little shocked to see the W&L/RMC result... maybe the Jackets were looking ahead. For what its worth VWC came out flat against Roanoke but was able to put it together in the 2nd half. I still think the game Wednesday is gonna be a slugfest. Always is between VWC and RMC

Hasa ... The Marlins will have 3 losses if they lose the next 2 games to RMC and HSC. Although that's not terribly likely, it is certainly possible that they could lose to both the Yellow Jackets and Tigers.

Randolph-Macon may be fired up on Wednesday, given today's loss, and the Tigers have a full week to get ready for the Marlins ... and Ru White and Randall Ward will hopefully be recovered from their injuries and back on the floor again.  (Neither dressed out today).

algenon, thanks for reminding me about VWC's upcoming schedule.  Those head-to-head games are certainly key.  Guilford has a home date with HSC as well, so there are still a lot of possibilities.  I think there's even still a "chance" that the Quakers could win the #1 seed.  If GC finishes 13-3 (and tied with VWC), the Quakers would have the head-to-head tie-breaker.  "If" Guilford wins out, HSC would have at least a fourth loss and so would RMC if HSC wins their finale with the Yellow Jackets.  The last two weeks should be great!

I'm really shocked! But very pleased - Gennies build on this for the stretch run!!!!

The Jackets and Coach Davis 'earned' this loss.  Wow, turnovers on inbound with the defenders 50 feet away?!?!?  Everything went wrong, and this team got totally frustrated.  The officiating was very inconsistent and hard to beat 5 on 8, but it was more than that, no leadership on or off the court, quite embarrassing.  It's the team I've been afraid would show up all year.

That's a polite way to say the officials were horrible. I can recall the Gennies being on the wrong side of that equation before. In their losing days the officials didn't give them much respect. That being said, I always thought terrible officiating was the hallmark of the ODAC. I recall having some polite and insightful email exchanges with Commissioner Bankston.

Good Luck against VW
