The officiating was very inconsistent and hard to beat 5 on 8,

That's a polite way to say the officials were horrible. I can recall the Gennies being on the wrong side of that equation before. In their losing days the officials didn't give them much respect. That being said, I always thought terrible officiating was the hallmark of the ODAC. I recall having some polite and insightful email exchanges with Commissioner Bankston.

Good Luck against VW

And, likewise, WLU earned the win, playing inspired ball.  RMC totally feel apart, never quite seen an RMC team play like that before.  The VWC game will show what character this team is made of.  Can they rebound?  Will be interesting.

78RMC-Saturday just shows what we've been saying all year-that inexperience and losing focus would rear it's ugly head sooner or later.....and it did.Not taking ANYTHING away from W&L-they took it to us and beat our a$$es-but it shows how fickle chemistry and playing together and everyone being on the same page can be-a small break down here or there can really cost you.Just look at Duke yesterday (IN CAMERON) against Miami-6 missed free throws in OT???REALLY????Coach K was furious! One thing about VWC -They have held their composure and played with confidence and poise all year long!!KINGFISH will have them ready, that's for sure-You're absolutely right-Wednesday night will be a GUT CHECK!!! Congrats to W&L on a big win!!

We have a chance Wednesday night to see how really good two teams are. And, both teams are good. I guarantee you that both coaches will have their players ready for the game. I would expect that the Marlins will come out flying, shooting the three, and rebounding like maniacs. The Yellow Jackets are as good. Which team will have their heads screwed on the right way at the end? Stay tuned sports fans!!  :o

Why is HSC wasting its time playing Patrick Henry College, a bible school that only plays other bible colleges and Community Colleges?

No loss is a good loss, but hopefully the young Jackets now realize that just because you're a ranked team, doesn't mean you don't play every game.  Gut-check time for the Jackets!

Good question.  I bet the Tigers put 70 on them by the half ... and lead by 50.  Maybe there was another game that fell through and this is the best the AD could arrange, but it'll be a real mismatch.  About 10 years ago, Guilford was trying to rebuild their program when Butch Ennis was coaching and scheduled Roanoke Bible College out of eastern NC.  I think it was 81-18 at the half - the Quakers were a .500 DIII team, but even our 3rd stringers were doing alley oop 360's.  Arguably, RBC was the worst team, that called themselves a "college" team, I had ever seen in my life.  I felt bad for them, because you knew even their starters were kids who could not have made a traditional HS team.  They were, at best, kids who played for a 100-kid church school or were home-schooled.  The game was good for no one!

And more so, why this time of year?

This game had zero reason to be scheduled to begin with. Have no clue why Dee would schedule it. They would likely get more competition from the JV team than they will from Patrick Henry.

Actually, Harrison only played 18 minutes.  In fact, he played no more than Keegan Wetzel, who is a great player but doesn't get into every game.  Harrison played only a couple minutes more than Critzer, Smith, and Potapov, none of whom is among the top 12 Tigers, based upon playing time.  Khobi Williamson only played 13 minutes and some of the starters played even less than that.

Keegan Wetzel scored 16 points.  Kodie Critzer had 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go with a career-high eight rebounds.  Harrison scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting to go with six assists and five steals in his 18 minutes.

I don't know why the game was scheduled, but I'm quite sure that it wasn't on the original 24-game schedule .... that it was a late add to complete the schedule.

I don't know what would be considered late, but the Presto network game log says this game was added to its database in June, same time HSC put in other games on its schedule.

Thanks for the info, Pat.  I'm not sure why I thought it was added late.  It's possible that I saw a schedule somewhere before June that didn't include the game, but I don't know.  Given what you've said, it's clear that the game was scheduled a long time ago.

It's a strange game to have on HSC's schedule.  I hope it was useful to the Tigers' preparation for Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.
