^ it was a complete blow out in Crenshaw (110-72).  Every Jacket got floor time today & most of the seasoned players were just totally ON.   6 Jackets in double figures with Cole at 19 and team at 58% shooting.  Roanoke has got some really talented individual players & a couple of really tall guys but they don't look comfortable as a team.

Congrats to all the winners (we are happy for Randolph due to the Desgain connection but sorry that the Quakers lost a game they technically should have won).  Final week should be interesting and as for Salem, it's probably anybody's title to win at this point.

GO JACKETS!!!!

Looking ahead to the ODAC Tournament, which is less than 2 weeks away, what are everyone's picks for the all-ODAC teams, as well as POY, FOY, and COY?

...are odac games judged on technique or does this refer to a scoreboard/shot-clock error?

COY- Davis lost about 80% of the people that got playing time last year and RMC is sitting at 2nd in the ODAC

POY- VWC DJ Woodmore kid has been killing it all season and can hurt you on both offense and defense

FOY- RMC Marcus Badger I've seen the kid play around 4 times and he is real good he is the glue to RMCs offense

All ODAC- Harrison George HSC, JD Ey W and L, DJ Woodmore VWC, Donald Vaughn VWC, Adam Desgain RMC, Colton Hunt Randolph

COY has to be Davis, lost 4 starters, 7 Seniors, top three scorers and the Jackets are solidly in second.  Hands down, it has to be Davis for COY.

Wow you are right I completely forgot about him

Narch,
I think they were refering to the fact that Guilford was likely a heavy favorite in the game.  To the best of my knowledge, there were no shot clock errors, etc. which cost GC the game.  In fact, when you lose by 9 it is hard to argue that a particular play or call cost you the game.  A series of events, maybe, but not a single play or shot clock error.

^ Yes, that's exactly what we meant --- we sure thought Guilford had the edge going in, but Randolph has surprised more than one team this season.

We like the idea of Davis as COY!

GO JACKETS!!!

Davis is COY !! I don't care who gets the voters votes, it's NATHAN DAVIS. Desgain and Giggetts have to be somewhere in the top 18 players as are Woodmore and Vaughn. The rest you can all fight about.

Where's the chatter, big games tonight, bigger games this weekend.  RMC goes out of conference to try for win #20.  Only ODAC team to have 20 wins in each of last five seasons!  Will be a barnburner outside Farmville Saturday, I've got no clue how that will go.

If HSC does not beat RMC on Saturday, I'd say the entire regular season for HSC will be a big disappointment; basically a season with no significant wins. Hopefully the Tigers will pull one out; as important for them to win down in Greensboro tonight. I believe two victories will give them 3rd seed in the tourney, not having to face VWC until the final round (assuming both teams advance).
Hopefully HSC is smart enough to provide RMC with the same amount tickets HSC was given for the game in Ashland, hardley any !!!!! That will guarantee a home court advantage !!!!

Here's some chatter for you....I predict that the Fish will win out their next three regular season games finishing 14 -2 in the ODAC and 22 - 3 overall. I will not, however, be so bold as to pick a tournament winner yet.  ;)

I agree,VWC wins out and secures a NCAA spot even if they don't win the ODAC tourney.
RMC probaly needs to get to the finals to secure a spot (assuming either VWC or RMC win the tourney). I think HSC and GC have an outside shot if they play slightly above their head and in the case of HSC, make foul shots. I believe HSC was like 14-29 from the line against VWC last Saturday. That will not win you many games against a good team.

Does VWC have enough fire power to advance to the final four ? I've not seen them this year other than the blow out game at HSC. It was hard to tell if they are that good or if HSC was that bad for that particular game.

Remember the year VWC won the national title... they actually had to hit a game winner at the buzzer in the Elite 8... and have a major run in the title game including a huge 3 late from Ton Ton Banega to win it. Don't think blowing out opponents is a true measure of how good a team is, especially considering VWC has had a target on their back all season and play in one of the toughest conferences in the country.

It will depend on their bracket/draw and how they match up with teams ahead of them.
