Tigers lead, 65-46. Despite their huge lead, I don't think the Tigers are THAT much better than the Yellow Jackets.
I guess you're entitled since you lost the last 6 or 7 in a row to us....Touché ! Hope we face you in the tournament..... You almost wilted at the end in this one...

We'd be happy to face you again.  The Tigers are 1-1 against RMC this season, and it's no surprise, as they should do well against the Yellow Jackets in Salem or any other place where their fans are allowed to be present ....
......and that's what I meant the first quote....the fact that we beat you the last  6 or 7 times has been kinda flukish.....we won one at the buzzer we shouldn't have at your place, you GAVE another one to us you shouldn't have, and most of the other games have been close, except for that beat down at the ODAC tournament two years ago.. Yes- I also think it would be another battle if we were to meet again in Salem.....but the remark about your fans doesent really hold any air......I know alot of friends of mine-RMC Alums- who couldn't get tickets earlier this yr in Crenshaw either - too much admissions politics and short-sightedness on our administrations part- NOT, as you Tigers wanna whine about, anything to do with us freezing you out!Let's hope we both win thru till we meet again!!

I was only 3 for 5 in my predictions for today, with Guilford falling to EMU in Harrisonburg and Roanoke going to Bridgewater and getting a win.

Unless the Generals pull a huge upset at the Beach tomorrow, these are the final standings and tournament seedings (figuring in tie-breakers).

#1 - Virginia Wesleyan    14-2
#2 - Randolph-Macon    12-4
#3 - Guilford    11-5
#4 - Hampden-Sydney    11-5
#5 - Lynchburg    9-7
#6 - Randolph    7-9
#7 - Eastern Mennonite    6-10
#8 - Emory and Henry    6-10
#9 - Washington and Lee    5-11
#10 - Bridgewater      4-12
#11 - Roanoke    3-15

Friday's ODAC Tournament schedule will be:
1pm:  #1 VWC vs. #8 E&H/ #9 W&L
3pm:  #4 HSC vs. #5 Lynchburg
6pm:  #2 RMC vs. #7 EMU/ #10 Bridgewater
8pm:  #3 Guilford vs. #6 Randolph/ #11 Roanoke

rmc1982 .... RMC is the only college in the ODAC that makes it essentially impossible for Tigers' fans (except for players' immediate families) to attend games in their gym, regardless of whatever explanation is given.

Fortunately, there is sufficient seating in Salem for anyone who wants to attend the game.  Let's hope that the Tigers beat Lynchburg in the quarterfinals and VWC in the semifinals, while the Yellow Jackets beat EMU/Bridgewater in the quarterfinals and Guilford/Randolph in the semifinals, so that our teams can play a 3rd time!!

How'd EMU get the tie-break over E&H since they split?

EMU wins on the point system, given their wins over higher placed opponents (e.g. Guilford and Lynchburg).

Congrats to the Tigers on a great win at home yesterday.  Was also a tough day for the Jackets women who lost to Hollins at Hollins.   (Don't know if that has ever happened but at least not for years & years.)

On a happier note for Yellow Jackets on the road yesterday, the baseball team beat UMW 2-1 in the first game & tied at 1-1 over 15 innings in the 2nd.  (One field over, UMW took it to the Tigers in lacrosse.)

Re: the continuing digs at Crenshaw H-SC game ticket shortage-- it's a good problem to have when so many prospective students want to visit your campus in Jan. that you have to ration event tickets & parking even to your own fans.

See you all in Salem... GO JACKETS!!!!

I don't understand this crap about tickets to hsc and r-mc basketball games. I as a basketball fan drove to r-mc from virginia beach three years running and got in the games. (2007-08-09)  No advance tickets, no will call, no nothing just me and my five dollar bill.

Things have changed in 2011 and 2012, donho.

There were NO tickets sold to Hampden-Sydney fans, either advance or at the door.  ALL tickets were allotted to Randolph-Macon students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospectives, and other constituents, except for a very limited number made available to HSC players' family members ....

I'd just like to see RMC make it possible for more Tiger fans to come to the game, as they used to.  I was in Crenshaw for the game a few weeks ago -- because I have a Yellow Jacket friend with an allotment -- and it was a pretty full house that Saturday afternoon, but it was not packed.  Clearly, some of the tickets that had been handed out to RMC constituents were not used.

Guilford falls in OT 62-61
If Guilford had hit some free throws at the end, they should have won - 11 of 20 is not good enough!  Also, from a shooting standpoint, Gabriel Lowder had one of his worst games in a long time.  With all that said, however, congratulations to EMU.

Live by the 3 and die by the three - when not falling and the game plans surround it, it happens.
As for foul shooting, H-SC would have won at VWC if their foul shooting had been up to par. Just shows how - rebounds, shooting percentages, defense, etc all have to be up in win in the ODAC. That what is so great about our conference.  Interesting to see who brings their A game in all areas to Salem this week.  Four teams have the advantage but several others have surprized the top teams this year and can do it again.
