JWW- VWC actually lost a recruit to a D1 scholarship at the last minute.. kid comitted to play for VWC, then switched after Delaware State offered him a full ride. I do know they picked up AJ Shelton from Prince George, who was a 1000 point scorer in high school and I think they have 3 other guards on board for next year. I'm pretty sure Macedo isn't finished either

Thanks DeWayne. I look forward to following the Marlins to Atlanta next year ;D

Looks like the Marlins got another DJ Woodmore. A product out of the same high school who I hear is as good as DJ.. Look out ODAC!!!

How about Shelton, Jones, and Jones-Clark?

will be interested to see who comes to a tipoff tournament at the Fish Tank in November -- I do know of one school :D :D

Looks as though Guilford's found another big man for next season - 6'8" Zeb Richardson of Ashe County (NC) HS, who led his Huskies to a 25-4 record in 2011-12.  Ashe County, for those unfamiliar with the area, is NC's most northwestern county, where VA, NC and TN meet.

haven't heard to much about shelton, jones and jones-clark but they are probably pretty good being that the Marlins typically bring in a pretty good recruiting class. From what I hear the tip-off tournament at the beach will be very good. Newport News apprentice, St.Vincents college and Cabrini. Might see a VWC vs Cabrini matchup on saturday. Could be 2 teams ranked in the top 10 of the preseason polls.

Tentative, but I heard Guilford's men's basketball schedule would include a road trip to Maryville and Birmingham-Southern.  Also, I've heard from a reliable source that an early season home tournament would include Guilford vs NAIA Southern Virginia and Johnson & Wales (NC) vs first year program William Peace University (coached by former Guilford Assistant Claude Shields), with the first-round winners and losers meeting on the second day.  Not the most formidable field, but I know there's a loyalty to helping Coach Shields launch this new WPU program.

Early predictions for ODAC b'ball next season ????

Can anyone challenge the top four VWC, RMC, HSC & GC ?

I'm bored and looking for some conversation.

Does anyone trhink ODAC shoulds play home and away against all schools or keep it the way it currently is ?

More fair come tourney seeding for all to play each other twice, my opinion.

I agree a full round robin is more "fair", but it won't fly.  A 22 game ODAC schedule will only leave three non-conference games under DIII's 25 game limit, so I'm very doubtful that will ever happen.  Recruiting enticements, the chance to travel, seasonal tournaments and cross-town rivalries demand a little more flexibility than three out of conference games.  I haven't seen how it'll be scheduled, but I foresee two groups of six teams (may rotate to keep balance) who play the other five in their group home and away (10 games) and the other six once each (3 at home and three away).  This is a 16 game ODAC schedule with nine nonconference games.

I think LC and, possibly, Randolph are on the way up.

Mr. Ypsi

22 conference games would also be disastrous for Pool C hopefuls since, by mathematical necessity, everyone would have both an OWP and OOWP VERY close to .500.

Guilford plays at Maryville Dec. 28.  Birmingham Southern plays at Maryville Dec. 30.  I wonder if Guilford and BS are playing at Maryville?

Could be - looks as though it would be cheaper for everyone to stay in town than head to Alabama.  Thanks.  +1
