Any comments on any of the scrimmages and or exhibition games?

H-SC starts tonight with Div II St Augustine so should have something to report tomorrow.  Also, Larry Blunt - the Asst at H-SC for the past 4&1/2 years resigned to coach in Canada.

Tigers defeat DII St. Augustine!  70-62.  Harrison George led the team with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block.  Transfer junior Sam Dale was extremely impressive and added 12 points and 3 assists, while Khobi Williamson and Greg Lewis also scored in double figures.  Great start for the Tigers, who are set to have a fabulous season.

It was strange but nice to see a Quaker sitting next to Coach Vick ... :)

I hope Tyler helps HSC in all but a few games this season.  :)

I don't think Tyler will want to help RMC since he works for HSC.  That is a sure fire way to lose one's job!  :o

The Gennies played ECU in Greenville, NC yesterday. We lost 72 - 50. It isn't on our online schedule, so I wouldn't have noticed; but my son saw it on the ESPN ticker. Hopefully we were paid to play in the Pirates' Den: http://www.ecupirates.com/sports/m-baskbl/recaps/111012aab.html

I thought that some of you would like to see the video below of Coach Larry Blunt, the new Head Coach of the Oshawa Power, a professional team in the NBA Canada League.  It shows Larry and his team in their first game of the season:

The Quakers host a tournament this weekend with Johnson & Wales (NC), William Peace and Southern Virginia.  Guilford opens with SVU on Friday at 8 pm after J&W/WPU play at 6 pm.  Friday's losers meet Saturday at 1 pm and Friday's winners square off at 3.

Too early for me to think about basketball. Still have heartburn from that whipping we took in The Game.
Good luck to all this season. I'll check back in after the New Year !!!
