VWC just demolished Cabrini... 96-59. The marlins looked very good defensively which allowed them to run and wow did it get ugly fast. The normal Marlins played well for them but they have some new pieces that are very dangerous. Colby heard and trent batson look like they are more than capable of filling the role left by donald vaughn. Heard had 2 dominating games this weekend and will be a big surprise to ODAC foes when they see how good he is. Batson shot lights out and looks to be another deep threat for the marlins. Where did sedric nady come from? he is not playing like a freshmen at all. the marlins always manage 1 steal in recruiting every year and he definitely was one. Looks like he will be in the running for freshmen of the year if he continues to play like this. Has a chance to be as good as DJ Woodmore was his freshmen year. On a whole the Marlins look worthy of their #2 ranking and should be a fun year down in "the beach"

All 16 healthy Tigers played 8-18 minutes, as the team held on to a 35-point halftime lead to win 102-70.  Randall Ward still not able to play.  This is definitely the best team we've had since 2003 or 2004.  I think the ODAC has 2 teams that could be ranked in the Top 10 by mid-December.

The Tigers will probably win 3 more by the end of the Thanksgiving break, although Mary Washington will be a solid challenge on Tuesday evening.  They don't face anyone of the Cabrini, Transylvania, or St. Mary's caliber at this time of year.

When's the last time the Yellow Jackets started their season with 2 losses ... and what's going on there?  Just cold shooting?  Maybe they'll recalibrate and surprise St. Mary's tomorrow.

Very impressive win for the Marlins today. Dominated Cabrini in all areas of the game. Couldn't really tell if Cabrini was severely overrated or if the Marlins are really that good. I see this team going very far this year.

^^ congrats to H-SC & VWC on commanding wins yesterday.

The Jackets better clean up the to's to have any chance today, much less in the ODAC.

Congrats to R-M sophs Sullivan and Hamilton on career-high scoring last night.

GO JACKETS!!!

The seniors need to assert themselves more, it would appear. I know Cole isn't a big scorer, but no points from him and 4 from Giggets will not help win many games.

In response to the last time the Jackets started 0-2, I know it happened in 2004 with losses against DePauw and Aurora by a combined 5 points. Not sure if it's happened since.

I'm sure coach Davis will get things on track.

Does anyone know why Zach Desgain isn't playing for Randolph? Did he transfer?

Great win by the Marlins yesterday.  Haven't seen a team yet that is as fast, confident or unselfish as the Marlins ; all players contributing without thought of personal stats.  They play as a team, win or lose, and it appears they will be very tough to beat this year.  GO MARLINS!!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I just happened to remember 2004 because those games were at Illinois Wesleyan and I drove up from Saint Louis to see them.

Cabrini is missing the D3hoops.com Rookie of the Year from last year, who is allegedly returning at the semester break. They are definitely overranked based on the team currently on the floor.

Cam Anderson was Player of Game with 21 points - 8 rebounds and 3 blocks -Harrison George started slow with only 3 points in the 1st half but ended with 19 and 7 rebounds and 4 blocks - Kodie Critzer held them up in the 1st half with 12 points  - Leon Hargrove from his guard position had 8 rebounds to tie Cam - everyone had time except Sam Dale who has an injuried ankle - a lot of assist from all directions - defense was strong in second half

Great win for the Tigers, and hopefully they'll get another tomorrow against North Carolina Wesleyan, who beat Shenandoah by 8 points this evening.

Quakes lost at Averett last night, 82-77.  AU put up 51 in first half and shot well.  GC actually took the lead at 71-70, but two quick threes by the Cougars were the difference.  Guilford had a chance to tie at 80 with about 4 seconds to go, but missed a three and then had to foul AU with 2.2 seconds left.
