Hasa, I have now seen the Zeb Richardson play 3 games via internet. He is a solid performer and keeps getting better. Kudos to Palumbo for yet again bringing in another quality big.

And even if the tigers get an ally oop or two...it's still only 2 points.

Thanks, yj424.  I agree with your assessment.  As a freshman, Richardson is contributing more than either Strong or Sanborn, which is saying something.  Zeb got a chance to start with an injury to Gibbs and he's making the most of it.

I love hasanova's audience awareness...note the subtle differences in these two posts :)

Guilford with a solid victory over Methodist today in Fayetteville, 84-61.

the man is brilliant, but i agree with his odac assesment more than his usasac assesment...that was a smack-down in every possible way...the monarchs simply aren't very good right now

You're on to me, narch.  lol  I hope the Monarchs can improve as the season progresses.

What's the scoop on what's going on with the Marlins?

Wow!  Never saw the Marlins losing four straight.  Only wish the first had been on Dec. 8th versus the Quakers.

Lots of ODAC action this weekend so good luck to all.  Congrats to all the ranked and "almost ranked" teams in the Top 25.   Personally, we have our money on Middlebury this year.

GO JACKETS!!!!

I generally don't get into speculating about outcomes of games, but I'd say most of today's games are toss-ups except for EMU @ E&H which should be a win for EMU, and VWC @ Shennandoah, which should be a win for VWC. Home court advantage could factor into the outcomes of the other games. Having said that, I don't know much about Bridgewater, Roanoke, Lynchburg & W&L.

Thank you, hasanova!

Yes, I'd agree with you, y_jack_lok. However, if I was placing a bet, I'd tentatively go with Roanoke, W&L, HSC, and RMC in the other 4 games, with each of these 4 being extremely close.

So in the 4 potentially close games you would pick (if you were betting) 2 home teams to win (Roanoke and W&L) and 2 to lose (Guilford and Randolph). Even though Randolph is undefeated, it is quite likely that R-MC is their toughest opponent to date, so that will be a good game. Should be a fun weekend in the ODAC.

Updating this because I just saw some scores. Bridgewater beats Roanoke 64-57; EMU beats E&H 78-71; Lynchburg beats W&L 68-67. The other two games starting soon.

Being out here in Saint Louis and having seen Wash U (10-1, ranked #5) a couple of times, I'd be willing to place some money on them. Their only loss was on a buzzer beater to a very good Wheaton (IL) team (also 10-1 and currently ranked # 8) at Wheaton.

I think this is shaping up to be a very fun season.
