Saturday's Washington and Lee-Virginia Wesleyan game has been pushed back to a 3:00 start due to travel issues for the Marlins.

HSC up 41-21 at half.  HSC shooting well from 3-pt range.

Plus really good defense for H-SC. Also Guilford has a lot of fouls shots - probably 7-8 of their 21 points from the foul line - not sure H-SC has had one try yet.

HSCDad

Other stats - H-SC 12 assist with only one turnover and 5 steals - 57% from floor  Guilford at 28% 2-13 from 3 point range - 5 turnovers and only 3 assist for Guilford - if I heard right, 7 H-SC players have had a 3 pointer today - hard to defense that.

HSCDad

Other great stat - bench scoring H-SC 26 Guilford 2 - running down Guilford quickly - they look tried

76-52  H-SC  continued like first half - good game for Hargrove

If you read any of the 6 straight posts above you can tell HSC won haha, in other news around the ODAC:
BC 65 E and H 70
EMU 67 LC 74, very good game EMU had the lead almost the whole game until the 3min mark

W&L proved to VWC and the rest of the ODAC how hard it is to go undefeated in the regular season in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Just knocked off VWC 69-68. Wesleyan went on a 5-0 run down 6 with about a minute to go and had a chance to win it with 12 seconds but credit W&L's defense for now allowing VWC to get a shot off.

With all due respect to the Marlins, I never thought for a second that they might go undefeated in the ODAC this year.  They've been beaten 4 times by teams like Wesley (15-4), Salisbury (13-6), and Emory (12-4) .... teams that are certainly very fine teams, but that can also be said of a number of ODAC teams.

The Marlins are having a fine season, and they beat Cabrini at the Batten Center by 37, Lynchburg on the road, Guilford at home by 14, and Randolph at home by 6.  However, the Marlins (13-5) still have a home game against a Randolph-Macon team that's among the best in the ODAC (despite their record), an away game at Hampden-Sydney (17-2), an away game at Guilford (14-5), and a home game vs. Lynchburg (16-3), as well as a nonconference game at #15 CNU.  I expect that the Marlins will finish with a conference record between 12-4 and 14-2, an overall record between 16-9 and 19-6, that they will get seeded #1 or #2 (or possibly #3) for the ODAC tournament, and will absolutely need to win the ODAC Championship to get into the NCAAs.

What in the nmae of George & Bob happened. When was the last time we won at the Batten Center? Way to go Generals! JD Ey was the man!

Guilford's had several key players hurt since Christmas - an 8 man rotation is not enough when some of those are also not at 100%.
