Yeah, we do care so thanks for the vote of confidence!  When you have 4-5 teams that can kill each other on any given day (VWC, H-SC, R-MC, GC & lately RaC) plus several teams that can beat each of them especially if at home (W&L, EMU & BC) that's a pretty rough conference to play in.

Somehow, at this time of year, I always think of that wonderful shot by Jordan Snipes in 2005:

Thanks for the reminder but it's not likely anyone who was in the gym will ever forget it.  What a shot.   :'(

Thanks, algernon.  That only makes about the 100th time I've seen that clip ... and it never gets old if you're a Quaker fan!  :)

Yes, thanks Dave for the vote.  I know most of the players, coaches, and fans would agree with you.  It has taken a long time for the ODAC to get where it is right now.  Year in and year out, the coaches have worked tirelessly to recruit the best possible talent available and it has paid off.  Though many coaching changes, improved facilities, many teams now have a chance to gain national recognition. The schools in the ODAC have succeeded in raising the bar for Division lll sports.  The future of the ODAC is looking good.   Good luck to all the teams in the ODAC this weekend!

And then I got a chance to see him a 45-footer to force overtime against Lincoln the next year at Virginia Wesleyan... and we all saw how that turned out :).

Actually, I think it was two years later in 2007, but thanks for mentioning that shot as well.  Wow - two incredible shots in his career!

Colton Hunt is the most deserving and would get my vote, although Chris Astorga would be my favorite Marlin. :)

Jordan Snipes shot was incredible to say the least, but I have to go with TONTON Balenga's shot with 2.1 seconds on the clock to win the National Championship, and a great screen from Tyler Fantin to set it up.  I just watched it today at the VWC site under Marlin Video's.  I guess we all have a favorite shot that we remember and will never forget.

Yes, Balenga's shot was "clutch"!

Thanks for the Jordan Snipes flashback!

I have to go with Colton Hunt as well. He has been playing great basketball this year.

I think Harrison George is the guy who has been most impressive on the court.  His play is the most outstanding.  There is no other player in the league that I would trade him for.   Even when you go to the numbers, Harrison scores as many points per minute as Hunt.  It's just that the Tigers' depth and ability to spread things out limits his playing time, relative to Hunt.  His FG% is among the top 2-3 in the conference.

The Tigers dropped from #11to #12 in the most recent d3hoops poll, while the Marlins enter the Top 25 again as #21.

Since the ODAC started having the Tuesday night play in games, has there been an upset?  I see a few potential games that could go either way tonight. BC/RC & W&L/EMU.
