The 2010 ODAC Tournment, when Guilford, VWC, EMU and RMC were all ranked in the top 25. At one point that season I believe all 4 teams were ranked in the top 10.

I know all you TIGGERS will rise up on this one but here is how I see it......Your TIGGERS may be more experienced , deeper and even more athletic this go 'round(BOY That hurts to type!)but I believe my beloved Jackets may be able to throw a fly in your ointment tonite!!! Hard to beat a team that has talent 3x in a year fellas!! You may kick our collective tails but I kinda like our chances tonite!!!....and I'll take 'em.....;-).....GEAUX JACKETS!!

No need for anyone to "rise up" about your post. I think you have probably made an accurate assessment of the two teams (in bold) while maintaining enthusiastic support for your Jackets. Nothing wrong with that.

....Bring on the Marlins.......At least we dont have to worry about a post-game brawl.....

Gonna be a great game! I'm more eager to make the trip down now! Even though I wanted to see a VWC/HSC rematch, I don't think there is another team that I would much rather play in a big game besides Randolph Macon. One of the better rivalries in the ODAC for the ODAC title. The fact that the Jackets won the only meeting between the two teams would make a Marlin victory even sweeter.

Fun fact: Last time the Marlins beat the Jackets in the ODAC title game, they went on to win the National Championship! Hope we can get a repeat of that this year!

Congrats to Macon. You were able to do tonight what made you successful against us for the last 4-5 years - play stifling defense and keep us below our season average and hit big shots, especially threes, at opportune times. You outplayed us and deserved the win. Good luck against the Marlins!

What an intense contest. Both teams played well but we outlasted them & sure had the Tigers off their own game for the last 5 minutes. We had major contributions tonight from a couple of young players (Hamilton, Jackson) who haven't been our "go-to guys" all season. That's really exciting to see!

The substitutions by Coach Davis tonight were critical to our overall success. That, by any measure is "deep"; whether deeper than anyone else is speculative, but everybody played well & they got the result they trained for.

Defense won the game for the Jackets tonight. Let's see if we can bring that same level of play to the court tomorrow.

Congrats to the Marlins on their win.

Congratulations to the Jackets and coach Davis on a well-deserved win last night. A great game. Today's game will be another classic ODAC match-up with the Marlins and the Jackets in a "leave everything on the floor" game. Should be one to remember. These two teams personify what the ODAC is all about. I have to go with the Marlins today, but both programs have earned my respect. . .GO MARLINS!!

Now ......it's time to say "Never count Nathan Davis out!!".....CLUTCH PERFORMANCE by my beloved Jackets today!! Congratulations, Yellow Jackets! R-MC is definitely the most improved ODAC team over the last 10-12 games. They've won 11 of their last 12 games, beating Virginia Wesleyan (21-7) twice, along with Lynchburg (19-8), Randolph (21-6), and Guilford (18-9), while splitting a pair of games during that period with Hampden-Sydney (23-4).

The ODAC will have 3 teams in the tournament. There seems to be little doubt about that.

I think it is likely that Hampden-Sydney and Virginia Wesleyan will host on Saturday, March 2, while Randolph-Macon will travel.

What's been typical over the past number of years has been for the ODAC and USASouth to play teams from the MidAtlantic, Atlantic, and Great Lakes Regions. My guess is that HSC and VWC might host teams such as Christopher Newport, Wesley, Cabrini, or Dickinson. I expect that Randolph-Macon will travel north to the likes of Catholic, St. Mary's, or Albright. It'll be interesting to see what kind of bracket the NCAA comes up with!
