My take on what's "down the road" for the ODAC teams ...

If they defeat Delaware Valley, it appears that Virginia Wesleyan will host a second home game on March 9 vs. CNU or Rutgers-Newark.  Then, they would likely travel to Williams or Catholic (although the Marlins might also get to host Catholic).

If they defeat Cabrini, the Tigers would play the winner of St. Vincent & Ohio Wesleyan.  They would host St. Vincent, but it's unclear whether they would host or travel to Ohio Wesleyan.  With another win against OWU, they would host Dickinson, Marietta, or Penn State-Behrend, but it's unclear whether they would host or travel to Wooster.

Randolph-Macon will travel to Stevens (Lehman).  Then, they would play the winner of WPI and SUNY-Purchase.  They'd travel to WPI, but it's unclear whether they would host or travel to SUNY-Purchase.  Then, they'd probably travel to Amherst, although they might host on March 16, if Amherst were upset in their second-round game.

Randolph travels to Emory.  Then they'd travel to Whitworth or Redlands ... on the west coast ... which would be really cool.  If they were to win again, Randolph would likely travel to Texas to play one of the Texas teams.  Actually, if Trinity (TX) were to pull 2 upsets, defeating both Concordia (TX) and Mary Hardin-Baylor, and if Randolph were to pull 2 upsets, Randolph would have the record to justify hosting Trinity (TX).  However, I don't think that their gym is sufficient for the NCAA to award them a home game.  Wildcats fans are probably just going to have to travel to Georgia, California, and Texas, supporting the Wildcats' effort to get back to Salem on March 22 for the Elite Eight.

Cabrini College sophomore Aaron Walton-Moss was last year's DIII national Rookie of the Year.

After missing the fall semester this year, due to academic difficulties, he returned for the second semester and was voted the 2012-13 Colonial State Athletic Conference Player of the Year.  In 16 regular-season games, the 6'1" guard averaged 13.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists for the Cavaliers, while posting a .518 field goal percentage, with 33 steals, 10 blocked shots, and a 2.1 assist/turnover ratio.  His only weaknesses:  He's just 5-26 from behind the arc, and he's not the guy Cabrini wants at the free throw line, as his FT% is .587 (37 for 63).

Walton-Moss is a little bit older and has an interesting biography.  This article was written during the NCAA tournament last year:  http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2012-03-13/walton-moss-gives-spark-cabrini  .... Cabrini was a national finalist last year, losing the championship to UW-Whitewater by 3 points, and they have back 4 of the top 6 players from that team.

Before Walton-Moss returned to the lineup this year, Cabrini lost to VWC by 38 points.  After Walton-Moss' return, Cabrini lost to Wesley College by 15 points, but they have gone 15-1 in their conference games.  The Colonial State Athletic Conference is a weak conference, and Cabrini has been dominant, generally been winning their conference games by 15-30 points.

How serious is D.J. Woodmore's ankle injury?  Both teams would have to beat some good teams first, but Williams and VWU could be in store for their Sweet 16 rematch from two years ago.  Looks like the cast of characters has not changed much for VWU since then, other than a couple of graduated big guys.  Williams, on the other hand, is a totally different squad, basically.

Hopefully it's not too serious. The good thing is that VWC should be able to get past Delaware Valley without him, so VWC could have a situation where he's able to sit for almost 2 weeks and have time to heal if its not serious.

Good stuff here this morning, thanks for all the news & projections.  And the ODAC is winning the new front page poll:  37% of those polled are MOST surprised by the fact that the ODAC placed 4 teams in the NCAA's.   :D

Congrats to all & good luck for the post season.

GO JACKETS!!!!!!

Randolph-Macon will travel to Stevens (Lehman).

Stevens beat William Patterson (ranked #20 at the time, now unranked) by 3 points on Nov 17th, and beat Williams (ranked #24 at the time, now ranked #8) by 6 points on Dec 1st. They lost to NYU (ranked #21 at the time, now unranked) by 6 points on Dec 9th.

The Jackets have lost to current #9 Catholic and #11 St. Mary's, have 2 losses and a win against current #16 H-SC, two wins against current #25 VWC, and losses to CNU and Transylvania, both receiving votes. Also, Stevens is the last of the teams in the "others receiving votes" list.

Not sure how informative this is in evaluating how the R-MC/Stevens game will go, but thought I'd share the "findings".

They are asking for team profiles on the Multi-Regional page in a board called Tourney Team Profiles.  If anyone has the time and would like to profile their team head over there.

According to DNR article today, BC must forfeit 4 wins from this year due to playing an ineligible player.  Apparently he never even registered for spring term.  Wow-how is this possible for the coaching staff/administration not to catch this?  Another black-eye on the Burgess tenure at BC.  Next year will most likely be the make or break year for him at BC.

What "black eyes" has Burgess had at BC?

according to the DNR article-W&L, Shenandoah, Guilford, and Roanoke games from spring semester are the games they must forfeit.

"What "black eyes" has Burgess had at BC?"

Maybe not the best wording.  Probably the most concerning to the administration is the lack of retention to student-athletes and overall academic performance.  That, along with the overall sub-par record of the program in his five years there is not a good combination.  It appeared they were on their way up this season at times so this is a disappointing setback.
