Not sure how you consider teams with the following records really "ramping up" the schedule.

Washington College 4-21
Carnegie Mellon 6-19
W&J 9-18
Baruch 17-11 ( in a bad league)
Mary Washington 14-13
NC Wesleyan 16-11

I've read and re-read the previous posts, plus the link to the HSC schedule, and I can't find the words "ramping up" anywhere. All algernon and tfa said was that they thought adding Williams was a positive move. I agree that the teams you mentioned don't exactly constitute a sterling nonconference schedule, but if you're going to snark someone at least do it for something he actually wrote.

Cmon, HSC is a class act....adding Williams is a classy move ;D Nuf said.

No reason to get so defensive. I was merely referencing the headline in the press release announcing the schedule.   I originally thought saying it was ramped up was an overstatement but now that I think of it, with no junior bible colleges or NAIA schools on there it actually might be an understatement.    Either way, I'm sure when March roles around the fan base will be comparing this schedule to that of an ACC double-round robin schedule of the 1980s.

All I said was playing Williams will help prepare HSC for the usual tough ODAC grind. I don't think anybody can disagree with that comment if they know anything about D3 basketball. I said all season long last year to watch out for RMC come ODAC tournament time because they were going to be ready based on their SOS and I believe they got to the round of 16 on the coming off their ODAC championship.

Excited to have these two young men sign with Guilford.  West Stokes HS is a little northwest of Winston-Salem.  WSHS Coach Spainhour is a former Guilford player.

In addition to West Stokes HS players Furr and Spainhour (see above), three Guilford recruits mentioned in this article.  Jacob Snow is from my alma mater, North Surry HS, plus players from Carroll County, VA (Austin Horton) and Greenville, NC.

Here's an article about Guilford-bound Austin Horton from Carroll County (VA) HS:

His HS teammates Tyler Lineberry and Ryan Gravley are headed to ODAC foes Shenandoah and E&H, respectively.

Again, GC does a great job of getting the news out on recruits. Not heard a word from HSC regarding this in football nor basketball.

Any ideas on when the schedules are usually posted for the upcoming season? Primarily concerned with Roanoke obviously, but would like to track the entire ODAC where possible.

They start to come in this time of year. Here's what we have:

http://www.d3hoops.com/teams/Bridgewater_%28Va.%29/men/2013-14/index
http://www.d3hoops.com/teams/Hampden-Sydney/Men/2013-14/index
http://www.d3hoops.com/teams/Randolph/Men/2013-14/index
http://www.d3hoops.com/teams/Shenandoah/Men/2013-14/index
http://www.d3hoops.com/teams/Washington_and_Lee/Men/2013-14/index

As we get to a critical mass, you'll start to see games appear on the other schedules as well, but our system is programmed not to display the truly partial schedules. Once there are about 16 games input for a particular team, however, they'll display on our pages.

Rumor mill says Guilford has a 6'9" recruit from Greenville (I assume NC).  Anyone know any details about this recruit?

tigerfanalso
