Those are good wins, but unfortunately you don't hang banners for wins in January ....

Watched some of the H-SC - VWC game last night. Both teams have a lot of talent.

For all the talent H-SC has had the past few years, I cant seem to recall any really big wins, especially at home.  They have not made an ODAC final and sometime and lost on their home court to Cabrini.

Your recall seems somewhat limited.  HSC was 2-0 last year against ODAC champ Randolph-Macon, winning at home by 10 and on the road by 19, and they also got a win on the road against NCAA tournament participant Wesley. The loss to Cabrini was to a team that finished the year ranked #13 in the country.

This year, they've beaten #20 Mary Washington at home.
Also won 79-63 at Randolph last year, and they made the NCAA Tournament.
In 2011-12, beat Randolph-Macon 79-71 at HSC and they went to the NCAA Tournament.
And the 2011 squad beat Virginia Wesleyan at HSC, who went to the Sweet 16 that year it looks like.

Forgot about these:
2009-10 team beat NCAA Tournament participating Eastern Mennonite 80-68 at HSC, a team that went to the Elite 8.
That same year H-SC beat Randolph-Macon, R-MC went to the Final Four that year.

2008-09 team swept eventual ODAC Champion Virginia Wesleyan.

And the 2007 ODAC Championship over Roanoke in which Mike Edwards outscored the entire Maroons team in the first half.

Again, good wins.  Do you play to win those games or big boy ones in March.

We didn't get to Shen. last night but heard they had a great crowd & it was a really good atmosphere.  For a young team, this is great news.

Congrats to last night's winners esp. in the really close ones.

R-MC really spread the scoring around last night & that's what we want to see.

Good luck to all for the weekend.  January is getting shorter by the minute.

GO JACKETS!!!

Sounds like a certain RC fan is not impressed with HSC's basketball resume.

H-SC has good bounce back with 83-49 win over Shen.  Held leagues 1st and 3rd scorers to under 10 each.  Soph. Mitch Owens had 19, Obradovic had 14 and Williams 12.  Bench scoring was good also.

nVWC with a VERY impressive win over guilford... Marlins were flying all over the place defensively and shot the lights out... And the Khory Moore kid is very very good for Wesleyan. Not sure of the other freshmen in the ODAC but moore has to be in the conversation for Freshmen of the year. Kid had 19 first half points going 5-6 from the 3pt line. And Aaron Clark is oozing with confidence. Hit another 4 threes today after his huge game vs HSC on wednesday. Looking forward to making the trip to Ashland on Wednesday for what should be a very exciting game between the marlins and yellow jackets

Marlins win big over the Quakers 82-58. Guilford never got in sync and had too many missteps.  Marlins shot a blistering 48% from beyond the arc (17-35).  This was a huge win to take into Ashland on Wednesday where a W won't be too easy.  Also, Good wins by RMC, HSC, Lynchburg and EMU today.  Another exciting week in the ODAC coming up.  WTG MARLINS!

Roanoke loses to Bridgewater 76-57, Roanoke's defense is so bad its not even funny.

WLU has lost a couple of tough ones. Drew Kimberly continues to be a force, but I wonder what they're going to do once he graduates.

Also, introduction time. I'm Sidney Helfer from the ODACcess crew who has been covering the ODAC for the mothership this season. We'll be posting a recap tomorrow for yesterday's LC-WLU game. We'd love to hear your feedback.

ODACATS

I hear you radio. Losing tough ones not getting any easier. Props to R-MC on W in Ashland on Sat. 'Cats 3 ball to tie it up @:26 off the rim. Holding Macon to 60 on their floor gave us a chance. Still waiting on that moment. BTW: keep up the good work on the ODACcess - enjoying it.

Actually 84-59, but it was a beat down.
