That puts EMU at the 5th seed, if the season were to end today.  Their remaining 3 games are all winnable and they could finish 5th, with a 10-6 record.

However, if the Tigers were to win out, they'd be 10-6 and have the tie-breaker over EMU for the 5th seed.

Guilford could still end up as the #1 seed, if they win out and RMC loses to someone else (like the Tigers).

Guilford and RMC split their two games.  GC's 2nd loss was at VWC and RMC's 2nd loss was at EMU, so first is definitely up for grabs!

^^ Well, we hope that won't happen next Wed. but agree that it could.  Anything can happen in the ODAC.

We saw it coming early last night (thanks to an excellent & free Royals video) & congrats to the Royals on a solid game, a well-deserved win.  We were glad to see the final score relatively close as the Jackets went very cold from long.  Simon however had 25.  Obviously, he can't win games alone.

Everyone's comments about the EMU Center were right on.  He's a triple threat - rebounding, blocking, scoring- he can do it all.

It's going to be an exciting tournament no doubt about it!

Stay safe from the storm everyone.

GO JACKETS!!!

Here is the article on the Royals RMC game.  The little I watched on my phone, I agree, Falk is the real deal. http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2013-14/releases/2014021117y3qn

EMU is my new favorite team. I love the way they play. Can't believe they have loss so many games.

Well it looks like HSC vs. VWC is the only game still on the docket for tonight. I imagine the Tigers will be leaving any minute now for the 6 pm game, if they haven't already, since Google Maps puts it at a 2.75 hour trip, so it looks like the game will be played.

I'm in Franklin about an hour or so west of Va Beach and it's snowing like crazy here!! Supposed to change over here tonite though-That's gonna be one HAIRY ride back to Farmville!!
Congrats to the EMU's-they beat us, plain and simple last night!! That's the loss I thought we might have, and they got us good......and the Tigers are coming to Crenshaw next Wednesday, and if we lose that one and the Quakers win out the regular season title is theirs!! I think we can settle down-we shot really poorly last night and that center for the EMU's can flat PLAY!! Safe travels to the Tigers......its gonna be tough sledding!!

Tigers are staying in Williamsburg tonight I believe.  Tight game at the beach.  27-21 Tigers at the half.  They were down 21-18 I believe and went on a 9-0 run to end the half.

A game of runs, with the Tigers up 16-11, then down 18-21, but now up again after the 9-point run, 27-21.  Khobi with 10 points and Mike Murray with 6, while D.J. Woodmore has 7 for the Marlins.

Marlins and Tigers are a combined 2 for 19 from behind the arc.  Marlins have hit only 2 of 10 free throws.  Marlins have 10 turnovers in the first half.

Tigers got out to a 12 point lead in the 2nd half and Marlins went on a run to take a 6 point lead.  VWC currently leads 44-40.

3:58 to go VWC up 53-51.

0:58 VWC up 1, 57-56, with the ball and 21 seconds on the shot clock.

Woodmore hits long three and Williamson gets a put back, 60-58.  Foul by HSC and timeout.  Moore at line for 2 shots.

Moore hits both, Williamson gets an offensive board and put back.  0:14 left and Marlins with the ball up 62-60.  Timeout.

Moore hits both and VWC calls a timeout up 64-60 with 0:10 left.  This game has been eerily similar to the last with the runs by the two teams.

Reddick hits a 3 for HSC but only 1.8 seconds left.  VWC up 64-63 and a foul on HSC with 0.4 left.

Woodmore hits the two shots and VWC will win it 66-63.

VWC with the come from behind win over HSC... This game looked very similiar to the first game as sydney built a double digit lead early in the 2nd half and VWC comes back. DJ Woodmore played well for the marlins as did Khory Moore. I honestly do not believe there is another freshmen in the conference as good as khory. He is capable of making plays with or without the ball in his hands. He finished with 20 points tonight and single handedly brought the marlins back. Looking forward to seeing him in a marlins uniform for 3 more years!!!

Regional rankings are out - ODAC has three teams in the South as of games through Feb. 9:  1. RMC, 3. VWC and 5. Guilford.  Probably subject to change after this week's results.

HSC can play with any team in the conference but has not been able to win close games consistently. If they can learn how to do that HSC will make a run in the odac tourney. If not an early exit is possible.
