It looks like Randolph-Macon has pretty much sewn up the 1st seed for the ODAC tournament, as Guilford has just dropped a very close one at Emory & Henry.  The Wasps pick up their first ODAC victory this season.

Lynchburg wins another game, keeping their shot at the #2 seed alive.  Guilford, Lynchburg, and Virginia Wesleyan are in a 3-way tie for 2nd, each having 4 losses.  Virginia Wesleyan has beaten Guilford once (with another game to come), and they have beaten Lynchburg twice.  Guilford and Lynchburg have not yet played each other.

Wow wasn't expecting Guilford to lose to Emory and Henry.  What went wrong with Guilford?

Roanoke got blown out at home against Randolph 82-74.  Randolph started the game on a 8-0 run and was up by 20 at halftime.  The closest the game got after that was the final score.

The Randolph-Macon athletic department has announced that tonight's game between the Yellow Jackets and Hampden-Sydney in Crenshaw Gymnasium has been sold out.

I wish that Randolph-Macon would make some tickets available to Tiger supporters such as myself.  They make such a limited number of tickets available for the game that those who are not family, high-ranked administration, or super fundraisers are not able to attend the game.  We have a number of faculty/staff that would go to Crenshaw, as well as any number of students, but there are never tickets available for the game.

For the past 3 years, a Randolph-Macon faculty/staff member has been able to give me tickets for the game, but I had to sit in the Yellow Jackets section of Crenshaw, since they were tickets provided to a Yellow Jacket fan.  This year, I didn't speak with faculty/staff member about getting tickets that would again put me in the Yellow Jackets' section of Crenshaw.

Randolph-Macon is the only place in the ODAC to which Hampden-Sydney fans can't travel to see the game, because the tickets for games in Crenshaw are always "sold out."  (In contrast, Randolph-Macon fans can always get in to see the RMC/HSC game that takes place in Fleet Gymnasium.)

I'll be listening on the Tigers' radio station, WFLO, to Cannon Watson and friends.  Go Tigers!!

I would think if hsc could actually sell out their home games then they would limit tickets to opposing teams fans/family/facualty and staff. Guess that's hard to do during a mediocre season.

Capacity at Crenshaw is listed at 1,400 by d3hoops and 2,600 by the ODAC, but actual attendance this season has been only 200 to 1,000, with an average of about 600.  I doubt that there will be more than 1,200 in the house tonight, as "Sold Out" at Crenshaw only means that all the tickets are gone, that they have been either sold or given out ... and it doesn't mean that the tickets that are gone will actually be used.  Large numbers are given out on campus.  As I said earlier, I have previously been able to get tickets from an RMC faculty/staff member who had extras that would not otherwise have been used.  When I attended last year, there were many seats that were available, even though that last year's game was also "sold out."  The ticket procedure works well to prevent most Hampden-Sydney fans from attending the game.

Regarding Fleet Gym attendance ... It is usually higher than the attendance at Crenshaw.  This year, it has been down somewhat, but it still remains as good as the attendance at RMC.  It is ranging from 275 to 1341, with an average of around 600.

 >:(  First the Tiger fans can't get tickets...next, it costs 8 bucks to watch the game AND THEN the live stats go down.  When it rains it pours.

At the start of the 2nd half RMC is blowing out HSC by 20.

You probably wouldn't have wanted to watch the game, RMC demolishes HSC 90-66

In other ODAC news:

Randolph beats W and L 80-57

Guilford edges out LC 68-66, LC was up almost the entire game

Roanoke with a bad lost @ E and H 77-75

Assuming the listed attendance for tonight's game is the 1,400 capacity listed on D3hoops.com (since the stats have still ye to be uploaded), R-MC will finish the regular season with an average home attendance of ~577, narrowly ahead of H-SC's average of 543. Tonight would be the only sell out for R-MC this year if they actually filled all 1,400 seats.

Can't edit my post, so I will just quote it. Attendance was listed at 1,330, so that's 70 tickets short of 1,400, so it was not truly "sold out." Macon finishes with an average home attendance of 571, 688 in ODAC games. H-SC 543 overall, 640 in ODAC games.
