ODAC tourney time was always my fav part of the season. From the banquet, to getting to see all the teams play in one place, the arena feel of the Civic Center, attempting to win the ODAC crown, and most of all, the trips to ZAXBY'S...... I love everything about the ODAC Tournament. Go Marlins!!!

Anybody else surprised by the beating HSC took the last two games of regular season play? Losing is one thing but I never saw 20+ point losses coming at RMC or RC.

I'm not surprised at HSC last two losses.  Sadly they were outclassed in both contests with too many costly turnovers and weak defence.

Last 3 games between the Tigers and the Maroons:

2012-2013
December 8 - Tigers win 100-62 at HSC
February 22 - Tigers win 72-49 in ODAC quarterfinals at the Salem Civic Center

2013-2014
February 22 - Maroons win 104-80 at Roanoke College

Very, very strange.  Will the Tigers win the next game by 25 points, or will the Maroons win it by 25 points?

We'll know the answer to your question by 8:30 Tuesday night. I have no idea which way that game will go but I do know this; if HSC keeps giving up the number of offensive rebounds they have recently and keeps turning the ball over at current clip, they are going to find it hard to win against anybody in the odac. Hopefully their best basketball of the season starts tomorrow.

I'm guessing the Tigers we're horrible at HSC.  It really depends on how our shooting is, we were on fire last Saturday.

My predictions for tomorrow:

Roanoke at HSC: HSC wins by 10

E and H at EMU: EMU by 15, has the potential to be a close one

SU at Bridgewater: Bridgewater by 10

W and L at Randolph: Randolph in a blowout

Anyone else care to predict tomorrows outcomes?

tigerfanalso

HSC by 3
EMU by 20
BC by 10
Randolph by 10

MarlinFaithful

HSC by 5 need a big game from Khobi Williamson while he also needs to stop Daniel Eacho in the middle 22 and 12 last game against them
EMU by 20+
BC By 10
Randolph by 4 can't count the generals to go away easy they always play hard no matter the opponent

Looks as though everyone's going with the higher seeds (all at home, naturally).  No one thinks there might be an upset - maybe SU at BC or Roanoke at HSC?

This is the Tigers team that we thought we were going to have at the beginning of the season. Jekyll and hyde...

Sarcasm? I wouldn't talk down on the Tigers, YJ. Sure, the jackets might have had the Tigers' number last week but this team that played tonight was a totally different team. Be careful. You guys are the ones with the targets on your back and I know this team wouldn't want anything more than to smack Macon in the mouth.

Its a big difference between playing the worst defensive team then playing the second best defensive team in the conference.  I'm sure Macon will be ready and amped to play HSC.  Its weird to say HSC losing twice to RMC is actually a good thing for them, its usually pretty hard to beat a team 3 times.

But in other ODAC news:

EMU smashes E and H 89-63

SU loses to Bridgewater in OT 93-87

Randolph loses at home to W and L 66-62, didn't see that one coming

Looks as though the Quakers draw the Generals ... congratulations to W&L!

Once a year the Generals put it together. I've been waiting all season for that one moment. Thought it was going to be against RMC the other day but I'm happy to see the Generals return to Salem even in this otherwise ugly year. Good luck to the ODAC teams!
