If you go down to the ODAC conference tourney info it says, "At-large implications: Potentially a three-bid league if Hampden-Sydney wins, a two-bid league if Virginia Wesleyan wins."

So I made it sound more definite than D3Hoops wrote it, but I still think VWC gets in even with a loss against HSC.  I missed the word "potentially" when I read it the first time.

The posters on the Pool C board ... http://www.d3boards.com/index.php?board=1478.0 ... seem to agree that VWC is a pretty safe bet for a Pool C bid.

Tigers were on fire tonight, and they even led by over 30 points late in the game before the benches were cleared with 3-4 minutes to go.  Intensity, intensity, intensity.  Great games by the seniors!  Khobi was almost unstoppable, with 28 points (14 for 21) and 11 rebounds.  Keegan Wetzel was very strong throughout his 28 minutes of play (more time  than anyone else on the team), scoring 17 points (7 of 10 shooting) and pulling down 7 rebounds.

Eastern Mennonite had been on a roll, winning 7 of their last 8 games, including victories over Randolph-Macon AND Virginia Wesleyan (with the Royals' sole loss during that stretch an 11-point loss at Hampden-Sydney), so it was good to see the Tigers come out of tonight's game with any kind of win at all.  A game so lop-sided as this one was completely unexpected.  In the ODAC tournament, the Tigers have now beaten the #9, #1, and #5 teams by an average of 20 points/game, so we are hoping to see this kind of play continue tomorrow, and hopefully next weekend too.

Anyone know if we can get a refund of our $7.95 from ODAC?  I signed up just to watch the VWC game and was very disappointed when the feed went down.  Maybe next time ODAC's "temporarily off line" message could be updated to read "check youtube."  I wish I had known that was available.

Seems to me that this is another reason why these online broadcasts should be free.

Marlins  lead at the half 36-34.  Momentum keeps swinging back and forth.  A real nail-biter.

Marlins led 21-10 and HSC stormed back to take a 5 point lead before relinquishing a 2-pt lead to VWC at the half.  Eerily similar to the previous 2 games this year with big runs by each team.

Virginia Wesleyan is the 2014 ODAC Champion....feels great to be a marlin fan. Hopefully they can host next weekend.

Well you can "thank" Ustream for the video going offline. The company the ODAC partnered with uses Ustream to deliver the video and Ustream went down for the whole country yesterday.

Congrats the Marlins on a hard fought victory.  Hoping that you and Macon represent the ODAC well in the NCAAs.

They said they would refund if you send an e-mail to contact@risingupsports.com requesting a refund.

Ustream is giving refunds for yesterday's outage. Just contact them. Fortunately you can watch what you missed last night on youtube. Because of the outage, today was free for all, so as upsetting as it was last night, the ODAC did try to repay everyone today.   Congratulations to HSC on a hard fought game.  You gave the Marlins all they could handle.  And finally to the Marlins  WTGGGGGGGGG.  10 straight NCAA bids!!!!  "Maseedo's fish were amazing and swam upstream against the current.  I couldn't be prouder of all the young men who gave us fans one of the best year's ever so far.  Good luck to RMC and the Marlins in this year's dance.  Make the ODAC proud!!

Congratulations to the Marlins. You can play for a quite a bit longer, if you play at your peak!

The Tigers' record in 2013-2014 may have been only 1-5 against their chief rivals, the Yellow Jackets and Marlins, and they also lost to Williams and Wesley, plus a few teams that will not be in the NCAAs, but the Tigers were most of the time, very clearly, one of the best 3 teams in the ODAC.  They played with the Marlins all the way to the buzzer in each of their 3 matchups, and looked more like a 20-9 team than a 16-13 team this year.

The intensity the Tigers brought to the ODAC tournament created a great sense of pride for their fans this past weekend, and it reflected the tremendous character of their four seniors, Khobi Williamson, Fletcher Lumpkin, Sasha Obradovich, and Keegan Wetzel.  Outstanding young men ... each of them.

Excellent weekend for the Tigers despite the loss on Sunday. They played arguably the best basketball I have seen in my four years during the tournament run, especially on Saturday against EMU. That was machine like efficiency against EMU! H-SC became the first team to have two 100-point games in the Tournament and Khobi Williamson set the record for single tournament field goals made (35), tied the record for rebounds (43), and is second in single tournament scoring (83)! Someone is going to have some mighty big shoes to fill next year.

Tigers did play well during the tourney; shame they didn't have that same urgency during the regular season. I believe the odac would have three teams still playing if they did.

Congrats to VWC and RMC. Good luck in the tourney. Bring the trophey back to the odac.
