NCAA site shows Mary Washington is hosting, along with Amherst, Illinois Wesleyan, and Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  Good luck Marlins!!!!

Definitely make sure to visit the front page of D3hoops.com on occasion, too. :)

I sure do!!  I was refreshing d3hoops page every 5 minutes waiting for updates following the posting of the women's sites. When couldn't find anything, went to NCAA site (I admit I was following some D1 games too), and noticed their bracket page had the sites noted.  Returned to to 3hoops for the more indepth scoop, of course.  Always better information on D3hoops.

Thanks for all you do to keep this site going!!

Should be two great games at Mary Washington this weekend.  Of course my heart is with the Marlins but I wish all the teams Good Luck.  To all VWC's seniors: Give it your very best so your last season can continue a bit longer.  You CAN win this game.  Go Get EM!!! GO ODAC!

I just returned from Shanghai and Ningbo in China, so a little out of the loop on hoops at the moment, but see the VWC squad is the last one standing with the ODAC banner.  Good luck at Mary Washington this weekend!  BTW, saw several busy outdoor basketball courts in China, so it's definitely a growing sport there!

Write your own history tonight Marlins, leave it all on the floor .  Tonight is YOUR night!!!  Go Marlins!!!!Go ODAC!!!

Mr. Ypsi

Mary Washington is kinda cocky - they've already entered on tomorrow's scoreboard: TBA @ Mary Washington!

No other team was that presumptuous.  Time to take 'em down a peg!

You think that's cocky? I've seen teams enter the entire NCAA Tournament, round-by-round, on their schedule before the season even has started.

Tough loss tonight for the Marlins as Mary Washington outlasted my Marlins 74-70.  We didn't play a good first half but the second half was pure excitement.  Mistakes hurt us the last few minutes but it just wasn't meant to be.  Thanks to all the seniors for taking us on quite a journey this year.  Sorry it had to end.  All the players from both sides hugged each other after the game.  Class acts both teams.  Good luck to Mary Washington in the elite eight.  Love to see you beat Williams tomorrow.  To the Marlins..Thanks for the memories, especially DJ Woodmore.  You gave us a great 4 years DJ, as did Trent ,Colby and Aaron.  You will be missed but never forgotten.  Go Mary Washington!!

I'm going to tell you right now, the ODAC and the rest of Division III better be ready to have their hands full with Khory Moore for 3 more years. He finished with 30 points, was pretty much VWC's only source of offense in the 1st half. He had 28 with 13 mins left and VWC didn't really go to him as much down the stretch while trying to get Woodmore going. Could have easily finished with 40. This kid will be a problem and if he improves and continues to round out his game, could be that special player that helps VWC win a national championship. He is that good.

Congrats to DJ Woodmore on being named South Region Player of the Year. Well deserved by a great player and a even better young man. Really proud of this kid. Have seen him grow these last 4 years and still one of my favorite players and people of all time.

Congratulations to VWC and Woodmore on their fine seasons.

I know this is d3 board but,  EX R-MC coach mike rhoades going to RICE!!!! Congrats to him as his family!

unreal the success of so many RMC coaches at a higher level going all the way back to Paul Webb. I was shocked ODU did not hire Coach Rhoads a last year. Rice is getting a good one.

No disrespect to any of the past four RMC coaches (all of whom have obviously been superb), but Paul Webb is actually the only one of them who has yet been successful as a DI head coach.

Mike Rhoades is likely to be the second RMC coach to go on to success as a DI head coach, and this is a great and well-deserved opportunity for him!

As donho noted, this is a DIII board, but it's worth mentioning that Tony Shaver has been increasingly successful at The College of William and Mary over the past 11 years.  After taking Hampden-Sydney to the Final Four in 1999 and 2003, Tony took over a W&M program that struggled for years, and he has now become William & Mary's all-time winningest coach.  With 358 wins at HSC and another 136 at W&M, Tony is just 6 wins shy of 500 total, after 28 years as a head coach.

The Tribe has made it to the conference's tournament championship game 3 times in the last 6 years, dropping a heart-breaker this year.
