Gotcha. About 15 games were in yesterday.

They may have been waiting for us to formalize the Classic pairings. We were waiting on hold while Merchant Marine tried to get its act together. They've been kind of a mess this offseason.

That might be the understatement of the offseason! :)

Greetings ODACers.

Looks like Shenandoah will be looking for a new lead assistant coach:

I actually read about this in the (Suburban Chicago) Daily Herald.

CMR

For RMC and HSC, this season could be very divergent.  RMC returns everyone (minus two seniors from last year), including Davis Johnson (6-8 sophomore) after missing the second semester last year.  Plus, RMC has an eight-member senior class to provide leadership.  RMC adds at least 4 recruits (there may be others) in the following:

6-5 Mike Silverhorn, Blair Academy, NJ
6-3 Sean Ryan, St. Peters Prep, NJ
5-8 Rip Engel, Life Academy, NJ
6-7 Charlie Hills from NC.

Lots of good pieces for RMC to make a run this year!

HSC on the other hand, loses four seniors, plus three underclassmen in Critzer, Vassor and Cam Collins.  With only nine returnees and little size, their recruits will be needed to step up quickly.  As I said before, their incoming class does look very good, but it could be a down year for HSC.

Looks like RMC is loaded. Will RMC beat VW this year or will they continue their winning ways? HSC might struggle or the chemistry might be better resulting in better outcomes. If the freshman can grow up quickly I would not discount the Tigers.

RMC has beaten VWC the last four games including a 26-point victory in their last matchup.

2 from ODAC    RMC 8th and VWC 9th  in National Top 10- not bad for league!!   Will make for a great season.

That's nice recognition. I'll be interested to see where VWC and R-MC are ranked in the d3hoops pre-season poll, which is probably a better indicator. And I notice that the Sporting News top ten is very heavily weighted toward east cost schools.

Outside of the usual, VWC and RMC, any other odac teams going to be able to compete for the title ?

Got a chance to see the Marlins in open gym and all I can say is they have a chance to be scary good. The loss of DJ Woodmore definitely will hurt but they have a few new guys who can step in and try and fill that void. They Return Starters Cameron Owens and Greg Montgomery who will be looked at for Leadership along with Sr Pg Breven Lyons but the newcomers will definitely help these guys out. Khory Moore is going to be special. I saw this kid make some next level plays while I was there. He should definitely be in the conversation for ODAC POY at the end of the year

Nick Doyle- 6'4 Wing who transferred from Deleware State. Originally comitted to VWC out of hs but was later offered by del state and chose to go there.

Tim Jones- 5'7 PG. was the 2013 Virginia AAA State player of the year for Henrico who won the state championship. spent a year at a Juco before coming to VWC. Very scrappy and athletic. Kid rose up and threw one down while I was there whch I did not expect.

Nick Douglas- 6'2 guard from christchurch. Had a lot of D1 interests from the likes of Richmond, george mason and VCU.

Expect this Marlin team to be very very good defensively. Basketball season is right around the corner.
