^ Had to miss last night's game so can't help you out with any live info, but it sure seems like the Jackets had a great offensive night & Cabrini may have had a one man show.  Based on the box scores, in addition to Sullivan's lights out shooting for 27, 4 other players (Hamilton, Taylor, Badger & Hassell) scored in double figures & Holmes had 9 off the bench (with 10 rebounds).

The Jackets play Averett tomorrow night & then get a much deserved Christmas break until Mon. 29th holiday home tournament.  Merry Christmas everyone!

GO JACKETS!!!!

Yes, at times, the Jackets looked like the team I'd expected this year.  Need to work on more consistency, but much improved.  FTs slightly better, but will need to focus more on that part of the game.  Will need to get help from players such as Taylor last night.  This was a very interesting and fun game, big runs by both teams, close at times, and a real battle.  Much improved performance by the Jackets, enjoyed watching the game.

I'd also add, that both Engel's and Silverthorn's shots have been off so far and little has dropped for them, but once those two freshmen get the range down, they will both be very special from the outside.

Pound for pound, I thought Engel might have been the most talented player on R-MC's team....he can really handle the ball.

Read an article in a local paper that Coach said that Engel might be one of the best players that he's recruited to RMC.  Time will tell.

Couple EMU related results.   http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/releases/20141212dqkfb7 , http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/releases/20141212dqkfb7    http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/releases/20141216mm0pmv They play in Maryland this weekend.  What a crazy set of results.  6-3 with no game being decided by more than 7 points.  Also article about first year player Jerome Jones forcing his way into the starting lineup.  http://www.emuroyals.com/information/royalsnews/2014mbbfreshmen

For no other reason but simple curiosity, I looked up the ODAC versus USASAC results so far ... it's 17-12 ODAC with three games yet to be played:  VWC @ NCWC, AU @ RMC and EMU @ Piedmont.

ODAC is now 18-12 with R-MC pulling out an OT win over Averett who were 3-3 against the ODAC coming into the game -- wins against E&H, W&L, and RanC with losses to GC, BC, & LC. The game could have gone either way. Some tough defense by both teams and missed opportunities on offense for both. Jackets couldn't hit jumpers until they made a few after 8 or 9 minutes were gone in the second half

After an 80 to 56 win over Kean (NJAC) last night,  Hampden-Sydney will play today vs its most recent former coach, Bubba Smith.  Sewanee vs Hampden-Sydney today at 3.

That should be interesting.

H-SC played Sewanee yesterday - Dee Vick (present coach) against Bubba Smith (former coach) - H-SC 58-48 to win their tournament - now 7-0 .  Mike Murray, again, was outstanding with 22 points and won the MVP award.  Unbelievable the number of times he ended up on the floor with great drives - a lot of free throws to his credit.  Both teams played similar offensives so like a practice scrimmage.  Neither team looked great but probably tired as tournaments like this have a lot of food and fun times. Merry Christmas to all.  On to Las Vegas and then California to play USC-Irvine (Div 1) where Russell Turner (H-SC all time scorer coaches and good friend of Dee Vick's) - Praises to H-SC Round Ball club who can assist with these fine trips like this one and the previous Puerto Rico trip earlier.

I think it's now 20-12 with BC's win over Averett and EMU's OT win over Piedmont.

As noted above, EMU defeats Piedmont (and then goes on to beat Frostburg State to win the Hood tournament) and enters the break at 8-3.  http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/releases/20141221cugxpu Still have not had a game with a margin more than 10 points.
