The #6 Yellow Jackets (18-2 ODAC, 22-3 Overall) were the #1 seed in the 2004 ODAC Tournament and they lost to #8 Lynchburg in the first round.
(Speaking as Scott Harris and not HSC Athletics) I was a manager for that Lynchburg squad :)

Sometime between then and now your hands stopped bleeding.

With apologies to Prince, it must be the poster formerly known as Scottie Too Hottie!

Congrats to the Yellow Jackets. Makes the target on their backs that much bigger. I'm projecting EMU will pull a huge upset in the ODAC tourney. I'll be a little surprised if RMC can go through both the regular season and the ODAC tourney without getting beat. That said, RMC might have the best ODAC team since the VWC team that won it all. I've been out of touch this season but from talking to friends following the ODAC, they really like RMC and think they have a real opportunity to win the National Championship and these guys are not RMC fans, but know basketball very well. Will be fun to follow and to see what happens.

RMC comes out on Senior night and dominates SU.  Good balance and some flashes of the future with some freshmen playing well.  6-8 Charlie Hills battled an injury most of the year and will be special going forward.  SU was totally outclassed and played very chippy at times.

RMC handles the #1 ranking and played well. could have been a 50 point win.

CMR

RMC men and women combine to outscore SU by 65 points!

Where's the chatter?  Lots of big games last night, only one game left in the regular season...  Tourney starts next week...

CMR

RMC has lots to chatter about, not so much for the balance of the odac. Hard to get too excited about your team and their chances to win the tourney when they sit at 7-8 in the odac with one game remaining. Really about all you can say is they have a chance to pull the upset next week and advance. Reality is that probably will not happen, but there is always hope.

Your guys have had a great year, enjoy the ride and see how far they can take it. My bet is they can/will go very far.

You never know about VWC. They can get hot and can be tough to handle. Very athletic and well coached. I hope they do well in the NCAA as well.

Go represent the odac well and have fun. This does not happen very often and I know your fan base understands that and will enjoy it as long as it last. If RMC or VWC get to the final four, I'll be there pulling for them.

EMU continues to be up and down.  I am guessing no one wants to play them in case the team that beat the Marlins shows up.  Or maybe people want to play them hoping the other team does. Crazy how the seedings could go down to multiple tie breakers http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/releases/201502183zhedy

CMR

As I've said before, I like the future for HSC, their freshmen have a lot of upside.  And, I also agreed that EMU is the one team I hope RMC does not see in the tournament.

I agree with your assesment. I think HSC has tremendous upside going forward. They two more really strong recruiting classes to add to the current pool of talent. Get that done and HSC could easly find themselves back in the regional/national conversation. As always, time will tell.

#1 Randolph-Macon, #2 Virginia Wesleyan, and #3 Guilford know when their first tournament game is .... on Thursday the 26th, in Salem:

1pm - #8/9 vs #1 Randolph-Macon
3pm - #5/12 vs #4
6pm - #7/10 vs #2 Virginia Wesleyan
8pm - #6/11 vs #3 Guilford

IF THE SEASON ENDED THIS MORNING, these would be the games on tap for the First Round on Monday evening at 7pm:

#12 Shenandoah @ #5 Lynchburg
#11 Emory & Henry @ #6 Hampden-Sydney
#10 Roanoke @ #7 Bridgewater
#9 Randolph @ #8 Washington and Lee

Obviously, there are 6 games left (with Emory & Henry @ Randolph tonight, plus six more games on Saturday), so there could be plenty of movement up or down a seed or two!
