Y-jack-lok, i was meaning not a single digit game. I think double digits but not high , however would be great if R-MC  did pull the upset. The upset in my mind is what it would be.

Wow! I didnt see this happening at all. Congrats to the Jackets.

^ oh ye of little faith.... the Jackets dominated the game on both ends.  Both teams played hard and the refs actually let them play.  It was the most balanced job of refereeing we've EVER seen in the ODAC (that we can remember... after a couple drinks!)

Could not have been any prouder of this young Jackets team & the way they kept their cool (kudos to Williams, Midulla, Nowell and Noe!).  These are some serious young players & how can we applaud Lamont Moore, Jamie Wilson, Michael Taylor, & Mike Silverthorn enough?  Good defense also from Boris Ngundji!  This is the Jackets team we've been waiting to see for the last dozen games.  Thank you guys, this was a really fun win!

GO JACKETS!!!

Glad you weren't completely counting out the Jackets. Wish I could have watched, but I had live games to attend out here in the hinterlands. Did follow the live stats. Lamont Moore continues to play the way a talented senior should. Very impressed with the season he has had so far. Wish my team out here had a player like that. Congrats to the Jackets on a fine victory. If they keep improving anything can happen.

You beat them in soccer. Looks like you just need to change the sports you care about...  Though it was at home in OT and you did lose in swimming, so be very, very selective...    ;D

Jk

You trying to start a fight ??????
Past five years or so have been very frustrating on this front and I'll just leave it at that.

Nah. Just having a bit of fun. Guilford lost in football to H-SC for how long? W&L spent almost 2 decades losing to E&H at one point. I get your frustration, but H-SC is in a minor athletic slump against their rival. It will pass eventually. H-SC's athletic department is too strong for it to go on forever.

Observations from the HSC/RMC game:

Statistically, very evenly matched teams.  I thought the HSC inside game should have been stronger with the height advantage.  The Jackets are slightly quicker and certainly more physical as a team.  Whatever internal issues that RMC was having (losing 5 players. losing games and team focus) seems to have corrected itself.  And if I were to pick a difference maker, it would be the coach's game plans.  I think Coach Merkel's game plan and execution seem to be the difference.  For me, this win was decided on the bench.

I was not at the game but I received several phone calls/text suggesting your observation may well be reality.
On to the next game. I want to see at least one more game this year and that will probably be when RMC comes to town.
Hopefully that game will mean something, other than the rival/pride thing. no telling what is going to happen in the odac this year but we may well end up with a bunch of teams in the 8-8, 9-7,7-9 record range.

Again, congrats on your victory last night

The best play of the night, was the last basket made.  Wilson bounces the ball between the legs of an HSC player to Noe who was running the baseline and made the layup against two HSC defenders.  A beautiful play.  The video is still up and I've watch that play several times.

GO JACKETS!!!!

P.S.  Alumni game is at 10:30 if anyone is interested.  Heard they'll have a good turnout this year.
