All fans attending the Virginia Wesleyan at Guilford men's basketball game on Saturday, January 28 at 3 pm in Ragan-Brown Fieldhouse will be admitted free if you bring at least two nonperishable food items as a donation to the Greensboro Urban Ministry's food pantry.  Their pantry stock is depleted and needs to be replenished.  Do your good deed and watch what should be a great college basketball game!  Thanks.

Thanks, rmc1982.  Guilford jumped on Virginia Wesleyan with both feet in the first half today which propelled the Quakers to an early 22-5 lead and a 44-27 halftime advantage.  VWC shot better in the second half and played GC even at 39 all despite 15 of 22 (68.2%) shooting by the Quakers after the break.  The first half by Guilford was one of the best team efforts I've seen this season.

Guilford (16-3, 9-1) hosts Randolph (7-12, 4-6) on Feb. 1 while Virginia Wesleyan (13-6, 6-4) entertains EMU (9-10, 3-7).

Saw where the Yellow Jackets trailed W&L 28-27 at the half, but rebounded to win 65-57 and stay unblemished in the ODAC at 10-0.  A lot can happen in the next 3 weeks, but RMC's visit to GC on Feb. 11 may be huge.

damn this hurts .... E&H over HSC by 25 points. Not understanding how we can beat Guilford on the road and play this poorly vs. E&H.
Something smells really bad w/I the HSC b'ball program. Winning % of .368 overall/.300 in odac. one game removed from being dead last in the odac. Where has the pride/leadership gone? three odac wins all season. unbelievable. hope this is not the new norm.

Hasa: Congrats on the victory over VWC. RMC keeps rolling along. Maybe HSC can pull the upset vs. RMC this Wednesday to help you guys out, of course, I'm not holding my breath on the upset but sure would be fun.

tfa2, I saw the E&H 25 point victory over HSC and scratched my head ... where was the Tiger team that shot lights out at Guilford?  Anyway, very happy with where the Quakers are this season.  Checking the schedule, I see, as you noted, the Yellow Jackets are at HSC on Wednesday ... know it was a 2-point game in Ashland.  Looking down the road, RMC visits Guilford for our lone meeting on Feb. 11 ... ODAC title appears to be headed down that path.

Guilford with 53 points and 27th spot in this week's Top 25 ... RMC with one vote for 25th.

Final Guilford 69, Randolph 61 in Greensboro

Not a great game by the Quakers, but good enough, especially in the last 4 minutes.  Henderson with 20 for GC.  I see where HSC tripped up RMC at Sydney, so the Quakers and Yellow Jackets are tied atop the ODAC at 10-1.  Congratulations to the Tigers.

GC (17-3, 10-1) travels to W&L (8-12, 4-7) while Randolph (7-13, 4-7) hosts RMC (14-6, 10-1).

I was only able to watch a bit of the first 10 minutes of R-MC at H-SC. What I saw was some pretty intense defense by the Tigers. Also, both teams seemed to be playing with more energy than they did in Ashland. From the box score it looks like the Jackets worked hard to come back in the 2nd half after being down 15 early in the period. Got it down to a 2 point deficit, but couldn't pull off the complete comeback. Jackets getting some good games of late from sophomores Grayson Midulla and Montese Adams.

Not really sure what I saw last night, but sure glad HSC pulled the upset. Congrats to the team and their coaches.
Hasa, you owe me a beer next time I show up in Greensboro for a football game, glad HSC could help you guys out.
