Am I reading the wrong thing or does Hampden Sydney really have nearly 30 players on thier team?

Not sure what you read, but I bet many ODAC programs have 25 or more.   That doesn't mean they all dress for games and some may only see action in practice or a JV team.  I think Guilford, for example, lists 25 or 26.

Even W&L lists 17. I'd assume most ODAC schools carry more as W&L usually has smaller rosters across the sports.

I read their roster which list 26 players! Thanks for your feedback!

E&H goes to 7-0. Maybe not the toughest of competition, but not to be ignored. We might have the makings of very tight ODAC race.

Class operation at Hampden Sydney.  Thier locker room rivals some D1 locker rooms that I have seen.  Ditto for thier video room. Coach Vick is a class act.

ODAC teams go 8-3 in non conference games Fri-Sun. Roanoke and Bridgewater each win two; SU, Randolph and E&H win one each; H-SC splits a pair; R-MC and GC are 0-1.

Recap of the R-MC at Mary Washington game says the Jackets tied it on a 3 pointer with 11 seconds left only to lose it on a UMW buzzer beater three. Box score shows UMW with a better shooting percentage, especially on 3 pointers, otherwise it looks like a pretty even game.

H-SC was hosting a classic that included Bridgewater. So BC gets two wins and H-SC splits against common opponents. Guilford loses by 26 to Emory who H-SC beat just two weeks earlier. Go figure.

VWU loses a close game to Rival CNU yesterday. The Marlins had several chances to win down the stretch but could not convert free throws. VWU played without starting PG Keijon Honore last night which really showed down the stretch. Prior to the start of the game both teams locked arms around the center circle and had a moment of silence for former VWU assistant coach Ben Moore who tragically passed away Saturday Dec.9th from a heart attack. It was a great way to honor a man who really impacted the 757 area as a whole. VWU is on break until Dec. 30th when they play at Mary Washington.

Yep, the Marlins struggled at the line while the Captains shot very well, which was a pleasant surprise for CNU fans....

Very classy move by both programs to make this gesture before the game. Two rivals came together and locked arms in remembrance of one man and his impact that he had on basketball in the 757, proving that it really is #MooreThanAGame

EMU gets to .500 before the break by defeating Frostburg State. Will start the new year against BC with a three game winning streak. http://www.emuroyals.com/sports/mbkb/2017-18/releases/20171220wm8z83

No more games for ODAC teams until the 29th & 30th. Recently E&H and GC played in a classic at Transylvania in Lexington, KY. The Wasps get two wins to remain undefeated (9-0) while GC loses to the same two teams and falls to 4-6. W&L splits two games. The loss was to a pretty good Carthage team that I saw play Thanksgiving weekend. Randolph, SU and EMU win one game each and VWU loses by 3 to CNU. Combined result -- 6 wins, 4 losses.

EMU is the only team not in action New Year's weekend. VWU, BC, and GC have single games on Sat. the 30th, the rest are playing in tournaments or classics on Fri & Sat. Good luck to all the teams and a Merry Christmas to everyone.
