Quakers play UST at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Hasa your boys may have a decent draw here.... you have bigs  and you have good 3 pt shooters but most of all you have excellent 3 point DEFENSE! Plus you have Polumbo who never seems to get too excited over ANY up or down!.... I personally like your chances ! I just don't like the fact that both of us are far enough away that we probably won't travel too well....

I just listened to Coach Palombo on Hoopsville.  I knew we would be on the road, but pleased we hosted the first two rounds.  Oshkosh in winter is a bit far for a road trip, but I am tempted.  I think there will be a watch party on Guilford's campus for the 5:30 pm (EST) game.  When you get to the Sweet 16, everyone is good, so I don't mind the draw.  I looked at the Tommies' roster and think we match up pretty well. Rebounding is our forte and we have some height and aggressiveness there.

Good luck to the Yellow Jackets versus Swarthmore!

In his 16 years at Guilford, this is Coach Palombo's sixth trip to the NCAA tournament with the following results:

2007 - 3-1
2008 - 0-1
2009 - 5-1  Final Four, 3rd place
2010 - 4-1  Final Four
2017 - 1-1
2019 - 2-0  TBD

Total   15-5

Impressive indeed, hasa...Palombo's an excellent coach...congrats and good luck!

^^^ That's impressive. I expect Macedo's record is similar.
Any VWU fan want to look it up?  I know he had 6-0 and 5-1 records back-to-back.

Macedo is 26-10 in the NCAA Tourney

Thanks.  I knew 25-9 back to 2005-06, but wasn't sure prior to that.  Very impressive ... eleven trips and includes a national championship and a runner-up finish.

Thanks.  Quaker Nation is excited!

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh has 8734 students and the Kolf Sports Center seats 5600.  With Loras (1440 students) and the University of St. Thomas (5700 students) all within driving distance, I expect a sellout.

I hope Coach Palombo takes a tape measure and lets the team check the basket ala Gene Hackman in Hoosiers.  Lol

GC & RMC fans, congrats on advancing. Keep it going. Each round gets tougher but I believe you guys can continue to advance.
Good luck and safe travels. Enjoy the experience.

Not sure they are all within driving distance of a 4:30 p.m. tipoff. That's leaving campus at noon on Friday. Also, the UST women are hosting. Chances of a sellout, IMO, about 2.3%.

Perhaps not for the first game, but don't you think the UW-O students will make up the difference on a 5600 seat arena by 7 pm?

History hasn't really suggested that in the past. UWO was fourth in the WIAC in home attendance this year, averaging 526 fans. So, we'll see but I am not holding my breath.

Thanks.  I see your point.  I guess I assumed more people would turn out for a Sweet 16 game at a relatively large DIII school playing on its own campus.

Only 526? Wow, that's a tough crowd up there.

Mr. Ypsi

Too cold for townie's cars to start, and too cold for on-campus students to walk.  It's BS, but it's my story and I'm, sticking to it.
