^^^ Don't forget Guilford. They lost by 3 in the Elite Eight to eventual national champ UW-Oshkosh. I don't know their roster, but it looks like they have a lot coming back. They'll miss Marcus Curry. Not sure about the other three who were seniors.

Quote from: Macon on August 09, 2019, 05:34:25 PMAs much I enjoyed the 2018-19 HSC season, they will be much improved, but will need more than one year to right the ship.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't take much for the 2020 team to be considered much improved over the 2019 team.

True, always forget about the school south of the VA/NC line.

Agreed, as much as I would like a repeat performance, it's not going to happen.

Guilford loses Carson Long - a versatile forward and great leader, in addition to Curry. They'll be in the mix again for sure, but will need some young players to step up on the wing (likely Liam Ward or either of 2 good freshmen from Southern Guilford HS) to help replace Curry and Long's production. As the season went on last year Kyler Gregory turned into a beast and he will be in the running for conference player of the year. I look at VW, R-M and Guilford to all be really strong. Don't know enough about what Roanoke has to replace Freund and Miles - two exceptional players.

We got a good transfer from what I heard, but I still seeing RC having a middle of the pack season.

HSC landed a former Arkansas State walk-on who is 6'8 and related to Luke Hancock

Tiger Mic

I'm sure you are referring to Morgan McKay.  He entered the program in late December of last year.

Speaking of Luke Hancock, he was verrryyy close to being a Marlin. If not for him opting to go to Hargrave for a prep year its believed that VWU would have been his choice

^^^ Those highlight videos always sbow kids at their best, but in this case Josh Talbert definitely looks, as you say, to be real. You don't expect to see a 6'2" player dunking so much.

It's not nearly as hard when there is no one back on defense though
