Roanoke with a win at home today against a Covenant College 59-51 in the Cregger invitational. Defensive game that went back and forth, neither team shot that well.  Roanoke plays Buena Vista tomorrow.

^^^Still early, but there seems to be four teams that are clearly much better than the rest.  RMC is the most battle tested, having already beaten 4 ranked teams.  HSC's game with CNU next week will give some indication if HSC is for real or not.  UL may be a team to watch.

After their very tight losses to two Top 25 opponents and their win against UMW, Hampden-Sydney appears to be pretty real.

R-MC's 68-54 win over Averett yesterday wasn't pretty, but it was done without five players -- Buzz Anthony, Ian Robertson, DaQuan Morris, Ben Cerrato, and Vincent Payne. Wednesday's game at H-SC has been postponed. I've not heard any explanations for either of these things, but it reeks of COVID.

The HSC game postponed by HSC.  (See HSC website).   But given RMC's situation, may be just as well for RMC too.

I think Anthony was in uniform, but didn't see any playing time yesterday.  Good to see some of the younger guys play and contribute.  Actually, players that normally don't play did contribute 24 points to the win!

I think some of the ODAC posters will appreciate Maryville's coach Placeres representing D3Hoops!

Was so surprised to realize that this is the first EMU men's basketball player ever named to the Team of the Week! Surely means we have been light on nominations over the past 24 years.

I thought JJ submitted ODAC POW every week, or am I just remembering things wrong? I know they had to have gotten some nominations in that way when they had that Todd Phillips team.

It took Bridgewater 16 minutes to score their 2nd field goal in the second half at home against Hampden-Sydney today.

That's not how it works, no.

Sounds like Roanoke's' offense the past 2 games (both losses).
