I watched the Roanoke vs W & L game online this past Saturday.  Roanoke just doesn't have any consistent shooters.  Appeared to be the same situation in their loss to Guilford.

Agreed, our defense is usually pretty good but who knows when it comes to offense. If Greene and Draper are off we usually don't stand a chance in a game.  With that being said, RC gets a win against Ferrum today 84-60.  In other odac news Randolph loses at VWU 49-60.

Hi, everyone.  Sorry I haven't posted lately ... pretty busy with a lot of other things.

Looks like Guilford is starting to play well after a 2-3 start and some cancelled/postponed games.  Really surprised to see we are Methodist's only win ... wish we could get a mulligan on that one!   Looking forward to the rest of the ODAC schedule.

RC with a big win tonight at Lynchburg 71-54.  At half RC was only up 5 but came out hot after, LC is a good team just couldn't hit shots consistently today.

Glad to see you're back.  I was just thinking the other day about the 'good ole days' of Hasa, Jim Loesel, and Steelyglen.

I was hoping you were still around when I didn't hear from you during football season. Glad to see you back!

Thank you.  I'll try to be a bigger presence the next few months.

Thank you.  Guilford football was outmanned in 2021 ... hope we can become more competitive in 2022.

I didn't get a chance to see it live but Roanoke beat Hampden Sydney yesterday 70-64.  It was a back and forth game with Roanoke finally taking the lead in the 2nd half and hitting FTs to secure the win.  In other news around the odac yesterday:

EMU lost at Lynchburg 70-76

SU got blown out at Guilford 79-53

Randolph Macon won big at Ferrum 86-48

Randolph lost at Bridgewater 70-84.

Today Washington and Lee lost at VWU in OT 81-84

Roanoke won today @ Shenandoah 80-71 in OT.  Not Roanoke's best game, our defense.....seemed pretty nonexistent at times.

There were seven ties and 14 lead changes in last night's GC at R-MC game that the Jackets won 60-56. I generally don't enjoy watching these predominantly defensive games, but that was a really good game. Looking forward to the rematch on the 19th.

It was an interesting game.  Winnable by both teams.  GC put a scare into RMC.  I will be there on Feb 19!

I was scared before the game started. I've watched bits of a couple of GC's games recently and had resigned myself to the likelihood that the Jackets would lose this one. Definitely could have gone either way.

Readers who are fans of D3 in general might enjoy this New York Times article on Yeshiva's Ryan Turrell, which contains a reference to the canceled 2020 Sweet Sixteen game between Yeshiva and R-MC. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/04/sports/ncaabasketball/ryan-turell-yeshiva.html?auth=login-email&login=email

Hasa- Your boys could have easily beaten us in Crenshaw, which is no small accomplishment!! I predict a more favorable result for your guys in Ragen-Brown, where we seem to ALWAYS struggle. Buzz didnt have his best game last night but someone else always seems to step up-last night is was Sophomore Will Coble, who rained a few 3's , and Miles Mallory had a big 2nd half in a game we could have easily lost. I was impressed with your Quakers! We get everyone's best shot, and last night was no different. Now we have a tough Roanoke team in Crenshaw tomorrow for Alumni Day!

I was worried about GC before and during the game.  GC has always been a tough out for RMC and vise versa.  But, if your top scorer has 2 points and #3 has 5 points, it's a very good win.  I have a different take on the 19th, I think the Jackets will have a better offensive game.  A couple of observations on the Jackets:  Talbert may not be 100% (only 5 points last night).  He wasn't in uniform in the previous game, not sure why.  Additionally, did anyone notice that he didn't play in the CNU loss?  May have made a difference in that game as well.  Also, sometime starter 6-6 soph Ben Cerrato has not participated in a game since December.  I hope he'll be back in the future.
