Likewise, HSC would likely need NYU and Tufts to lose for second weekend hosting.

Good luck to all the ODAC teams in the NCAA:  HSC, RMC, Roanoke and, of course, my Guilford College Quakers!  Soccer, Class of '74!

Someone mentioned it earlier, but VWU's home lost to GC in the ODAC first round dropped their final NPI below the cut-off.  Meanwhile, GC's stellar 3-game run over the Marlins, RMC and Roanoke moved the Quakers from #39 to # 25.

BTW, GC's now split with 4 of the 6 teams that defeated them.  Emory is also a 5th possibility this weekend.

Consider these swings:
VWU- lost by 19, won by 13 = 32
RMC- lost by 31, won by 3 = 34
RoCo- lost by 25. won by 5 = 30

GC is not the same team they were earlier.  It's always good to peak at play-off time!

It would be awesome to have all 4 teams advance.  Roanoke takes on a tough Pfeiffer team who seems to be peaking at the right time.RC needs a win it has been awhile since we won a game in the tourney.

I was going back and forth between the Roanoke and Guilford games. RC was trailing Pfeiffer and GC was trailing Berry. Roanoke was able to pull off the comeback and down Pfeiffer 71-70 on two free throws by Joshua McClary with 4.6 seconds remaining. Guilford, unfortunately, couldn't do the same. They tied the game at 74 with 1:32 remaining, but Berry was able to regain the lead and hold on to win 80-77.

RMC has no problem with Westfield State, winning 82-48.

H-SC can pull the ODAC to 3-1 on the day if they down Bryn Athyn.

HSC dominated Bryn Athyn winning 102-66

Roanoke squeaked by Pfeiffer after getting in deep trouble. Roanoke was down 18 at one point in the second half and came back to pull it off.  Roanoke takes on a really tough CNU team tomorrow at 6:30. CNU won 101-75 today over John Jay College.

In addition to the above mentioned Roanoke at CNU game, tomorrow RMC plays Catholic on a neutral court at Franklin & Marshall and H-SC hosts Pitt-Bradford.

Another game tomorrow that might interest longtime ODAC and RMC fans, Franklin College in Franklin, IN faces host Wash U. in St. Louis. Franklin is coached by former Yellow Jacket Chris Hamilton. The Grizzlies came from behind to beat #18 Denison in OT. Wash U also came from behind to beat Central College from Pella, IA.

RMC no match for Catholic tonight, losing 79-67. The Jackets trailed by 20 in the first half and by 17 at halftime. Catholic had RMC's defenses figured out and executed well against them. They also defend very well and did a good job on Jabril Robinson who was disrupted from running the offense as he normally does. Keishawn Pulley, Jr. also had an off night everywhere except the free throw line. The Jackets were unable to get the deficit below double digits and are not a team accustomed to making late game comeback efforts from that far back.

It was another great season for the Jackets. Congrats on all the achievements.

Two ODAC teams in the Sweet Sixteen.

H-SC advances to the with an 81-75 win over Pitt Bradford.

Roanoke downs CNU 77-75. Joshua McClary the hero again with a late made jumper with 4 seconds left. CNU unable to convert on its last shot.

The Tigers needed one of their best efforts this season against Pitt-Bradford.  P-B was athletic, fast and aggressive, and they shot the ball very well.  They played at an extremely fast pace, pressing on misses as well as made baskets.  The Tigers did a good job of controlling the pace as they held P-B 23 points below their average.  Adam Brazil was stellar with a game leading 24 points and Fernald had 14.  H-SC got outstanding games from 4 freshmen (Travis Stickney, Tugg Bizzelle, John Campbell and Peter Moye) who played at least 12 minutes and made significant contributions.

Get ready for a better version of that style on Friday.

I've been waiting for one of you "Hamsters"( and I mean that in the kindest way)to say something about the game last night??? More than that, I wonder how the first round loss will affect their NCAA seeding?? Hey- we could easily lose Saturday vs a very good Guilford team but a loss in the semis isn't as bad as losing in the first round plus the fact that unless the wheels fall off of the bus this weekend for our ladies we weren't gonna host in the first round anyway because it's the ladies turn. This one HAS to hurt those kids- the last few weeks they haven't been at their best and have not played up to the potential of the team that beat us TWICE earlier this year. I KNOW they're better than they have played lately. Any of you HSC guys have any insight as to why??We're gonna have to go on the road regardless of whether we win out or not for the first round at least. We are, however , seemingly peaking at a good time and playing some of our best basketball. I fear a team with size will perhaps be our downfall but you Tigers seemingly have it all, size, shooters, young fireballs - what up and what's wrong?? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$- I really don't watch any other teams much unless they're playing us. Just doesent seem right for them to stumble like this late and I'm not just talking about this one game. Thoughts??
Hope you enjoyed seeing the Jackets getting handled in that L yesterday

Couldn't watch the game yesterday. Colin Radcliffe for H-SC only played 5 minutes and never saw the floor in the second half. Did he get injured or was it just bad matchup where it just wasn't going to work out for him?

Brian Hamilton

HSC plays at NYU on Friday at 4:30 versus Redlands.

Roanoke plays at Trinity on Friday at 4:15 versus Catholic.

Colin is fine.  Maybe not the best style of game for him, plus Peter Moye was having a good game.

Roanoke seems to be set on making games close, but I'll take a win against a great team.  Roanoke has a even tougher task this Friday against Catholic, the team that took out Randolph Macon. This season has been Roanoke's best season in a really long time.

One team we haven't mentioned is Virginia Wesleyan.  Apparently they're in what I think is a NIT type tournament(ECAC Tourney) where they're the #1 team.  They won on Saturday against Franciscan University and then won again today against McDaniel college. They play Saturday in the ECAC championship against Salisbury University.
