Now, Algernon...you have to get in on the action as well...still complaining about Scottie's substitution of a Dr.Pepper last year. You simply have no grounds for whining as Herr Loesel has photographic evidence of you not only accepting the Dr.Pepper, but consuming it on the spot with a voracity seldom seen at the Salem Civic Center!

Photographic evidence?!  Doesn't he ever put that camera down?

Perhaps Jim is the one who is always watching and comes up with these attendance figures ....  :)

Regarding the All-Conference selections, they seem very reasonable to me.  The choices for COY, POY, and FOY (a.k.a. BIFY or BOY) were what I expected.  First team All-ODAC makes perfect sense.  If I were going to quibble a bit, and had the time to bring in some stats to support my argument, I might make a case for Prehmus and Snipes on the second team instead of Hawley and Balenga.  But, there's no time or need for that .... It's time to pack up the car and get on the road to Salem.  Let the games begin!

well this is perfect timing for EMU's website not to work...

emufan

The EMU website is currently "down", however, it should be up again shortly.

EMU's SID did a nice job of gathering all the information you would want to know about the EMU-VWC match-up. It is a 12 page PDF file found at www.emu.edu/athletics

This will be viewable as soon as the website is up and running again.

emufan

EMU's website is up and running, however, their seems to be some technical difficulties with hearing the broadcast.  I will try to get in touch with the IT folks.

Jimmy Mad

Broadcast is up now.  Apologies for the difficulty.

Yes, the Commonwealth has eyes and ears everywhere.

I thought it only extended to other commonwealths. Be careful in Virginia, Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.

EMU staying in it with 7 minutes to go.  58-54 VWC.

emufan

1:45 left with EMU down 3.  Time-out.

EMU's Whiting has fouled out.

emufan

EMU loses to VWC by a score of 75-72.

Fitch misses two free-throws with 5 seconds to go but EMU cannot even get a shot off because of a TO on the outlet pass.

Tough end to EMU's season.

well...3sdown shows why he is the #3 seed...not only nailing the winner but the final total score of 147 points...narch comes in with the winner and 148...nice way to begin the "real " tournament... :D. Everybody but one comes through in the opener...

Scottie...

E&H deserved one player considering where they finished?  By that reasoning, neither Albright nor Bienemann would have gotten anything, considering where their team's finished.  Townsend, Albright, and Bienemann were all deserving of an honorable mention award, regardless of what team they played on or where their team finished.

I agree - these are individual honors not team honors. I 've made the case before that IMHO it's harder for a good player to be successful on a poor team than on a good team. As far as E&H goes - if you can stand out in the system; then you must be pretty good.
If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

but its also easier for bad or mediocre players to stand out on bad teams (and yes I realize this opens the door for people criticizing LC players).
